Abstract
Technological advancement in civil engineering is directly related to people's living conditions. When there is the development of thought processes related to sustainable development, the solutions for the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are in technological advancement. 2D drawings were used in the early days of civil engineering to guide the client regarding the project design. Most clients do not have the ability to visualize their project before it comes to fruition. The solution to this problem is the use of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). VR can help the client by being able to experience the project in a virtual model, which will enable him to evaluate the design & decide if it meets their requirements. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is also a strongly emerging technology that improves the clarity of communication between project teams. It ultimately helps in reducing the risk & provides better efficiency for the project. Technologies like precast construction deal with waste reduction for building materials. The process of assembling various precast building structural elements, such as columns, beams, and slabs, with appropriate connecting systems that can endure gravity (both a dead and live load) and lateral forces are known as precast building (wind and seismic loads). It benefited the construction sector with a more sustainable approach. This paper tries to focus on the developing construction technologies which are helping the projects to go green. Eventually these technological advancements will increase the efficiency of the project in terms of cost, quality, and time management. © 2022
