In this paper, an antenna-filter is designed andsimulated using IE3D software for UWB range. A UWB circularmonopole microstrip antenna and an UWB filter are cascadedon the same layer to cover ultra wide bandwidth (UWB). Insteadof using the traditional 50Ω interfaces, the impedance betweenthe filter and antenna is optimized to improve the performance.The proposed antenna-filter will operate at the center frequencyof 6.5GHz.
