Abstract

The area in data science which has led to the growth of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in recent years is a Deep Learning. Nowadays Deep Learning is booming like anything in market and we can say we are living in a deep learning-fueled world. It has become a ubiquitous recently by achieving very promising results in a wide range of areas such as computer vision, speech recognition and natural language processing and many more. Recent advancements in GPU technology, parallel computing deep learning provide a new platform for complex image processing tasks such as Object Detection to flourish. Object Detection is fundamental preliminary operation for several high level computer vision tasks. Our comprehensive review begins with a brief introduction of deep learning and main algorithm for it namely Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) followed by all generic object detection frameworks till year 2018 comparisons along with their results with different datasets.
