Now a days silicon photonics is a promising technology for many core systems that gives low power dissipation, high throughput and low latency over electrical interconnects. The optical network on chip (ONoC) with wavelength division multiplexing technique is a novel technique to satisfy the power budget for high terabit scale, higher data rates and large bandwidth. The routing technique plays a vital role in the network performance of Benes network. We have proposed an enhanced distributed routing technique for Benes network. The proposed algorithm is assessed by comparing it with previous adaptive routing algorithm for Benes network in terms of time and end to end delay parameters. The proposed algorithm shows the better results as compare to previous mentioned techniques. The improvement in performance shows average of 87% with new enhanced distributed routing algorithm for end to end delay and time required for the execution of the routing algorithm.
