Nowadays, transportation is inseparable part of human life. Normal person can travel easily by utilizing the facilities suchas bicycles, bikes, cars, public transports, etc., but for disabled persons travelling is not so easy. Depending upon the disability (i.e.which part of body is not in function), disabled person can avail travelling facilities such as tricycles, wheelchairs, customized vehicleslike cars, bikes, buses etc. But these facilities are not easily accessible for disabled persons due to some difficulties. This paper discussesthese facilities for disabled persons.

When the control over the communication and the elements of the information system is low, developing solid systems is challenging. In particular, developingreliable Webservice compositions usually requires the integration ofboth composition languages, suchas theBusiness Process ExecutionLanguage (BPEL), and ofcoordination protocols, such as WS-Atomic Transactionand WS-Business Activity. Unfortunately, the composition and coordination ofWeb services currently have separate languages and specifications. A list of potential challenges for the maintenance and reengineering of service-oriented systems is presented for discussion.

Requirements Proposals and Challenges in transaction Management Service-Oriented Systems

Looking towards the complex, heterogeneous and dynamic nature of the networks, failures are unavoidable. Monitoring can be used for detection and reporting of failures. This underlines the need to develop a unified strategy for implementation and management of network resources in an enterprise.This paper describes novel agentless system for real-time monitoring of windows based clients remotely by subscribing to those remote events. Monitoring is done using W indows Management Instrumentation (W MI) services. Results of service events are stored in Server. This system is called as Unified network resourse management system. We have demonstrated the system's capabilities and the results that are obtained from the clients using W MI services. These results include system hardware configuration, software configuration in terms of OS details, applications installed etc. This information is very useful to the administrator for maintenance of failures in the networks. Any change at the client system details, will be notified automatically by the clients to the server, so that server will have real- time updated information. This updated information will be very helpful incase of crashing of the remote client. Using this collected data, crashed clients can be restored in very short period of time. Real time monitoring of the clients is necessary for the maintaining the health of an enterprise network.

WMI based real time agentless enterprise monitoring

The biggest threat to the Internet is the fact that it was never really designed. For e.g., the BGP protocol is used by Internet routers to exchange information about changes to the Internet's network topologies. However, it also is among the most fundamentally broken; as Internet routing information can be poisoned with bogus routing information. Instead, it evolved in fits and start, thanks to various protocols that have been cobbled together to fulfill the needs of the moment. Few of protocols from them were designed with security in mind. or if they were sported no more than was needed to keep out a nosy neighbor, not a malicious attacker. The result is a welter of aging protocols susceptible to exploit on an Internet scale. Here are six Internet protocols that could standto be replaced sooner rather than later or are (mercifully) on the way out.

Aging protocols that could incapacitate the Internet

In the present paper, effect of height of building on base shear, lateral forces and storey drift is evaluated by using STAAD software and the results are compared with IS1893 (Part1:2002). For these purpose seismic coefficient method (SCM) specified in IS1893 (Part1:2002) is taken into consideration and results are obtained in STAAD by SCM. The study includes the modeling of two buildings having plan areas 15 m x9 m and 25mx15m and the height is varied from 3m, 6m, 9m and 12m. The study is conducted by varying the geometrical properties of the structure but the seismic properties are kept constant. The buildings are located in zone II region. The results obtained for base shear and other design parameters obtained from STAAD software match with IS1893:2002. Spring mass model with the lateral forces are also plotted for the different buildings. Percentage change in storey shear for the different buildings is also evaluated. It can be observed that as the height and area of building increases the base shear and storey drift increases.

The present work deals with the study of cold storage refrigeration plant and simulation of refrigeration system to evaluate the cooling load and annual energy co nsumption for cold storage applications. The specific temperature and humidity range is required for properly storing any particular food and thus facilitates its preservation for a longer duration of time. The present cold storage capacity in India is grossly inadequate and with a positive future outlook for the ag ro, food processi ng, retail and pharmaceutical industry there is urgent need to scale up and develop integrated cold chain facilities across the country. In this view, a simple methodology is presented to obtain the cooling load and energy consumption for a cold storage using an energy simulation tool “EnergyPlus”. Also the attempt has been made to minimize energy consumption of cold store by replacing the Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) with Poly-urethane Foam (PUF) insulation. The methodology has been validated against the actual data obtained from Penguin cold storage s ituated in Pune, India. It is found from the simulation results that the average reduction of cooling load for summer design day is 9.78 % while for winter design day it is 9.26 %, when 150 mm thick insulation of EPS is replaced by 100 mm PUF insulation. Due to this replacement the annual cooling energy is saved by Rs. 63875 with pay-back period of 6.8 years.

Performance Simulation of Cold Storage Using Energy Plus

In many engineering applications like heat exchanger, radiator, evaporator, nuclear power plant and thermal power plant, arrangement of tubes is very crucial. Fluid elastic instability forms the basis for deciding the type of arrangement and tube spacing but the phenomenon of vortex induced vibration is random in nature. Tube spacing also plays a critical role in different types of arrangement. Different type of application requires different tube spacing and the range of tube spacing vary from 1 to 6. Vortex Induced Vibration in cross flow around the inline and staggered arrangement of the tube arrays is experimentally studied for varying P/d (tube spacing) ratio. It is observed that with the increase in the velocity, the amplitude displacement increases. As the amplitude displacement of the tube reduces, the pitch over diameter ratio is increased from 2 to 4. It is also observed that between inline and staggered arrangement, the amplitude displacement of staggered arrangement is more compared to inline arrangement for same tube spacing.

Analysis of Cross-Flow Induced Vibration in an Inline and Staggered Configuration

The motion of spherical particles (diameter 1.58 mm, specific gravity 2.5) on 2 and 3% plane slope was studied in a laboratory wave flume for shoaling wave conditions. The range of wave-height-to-water-depth ratio was 0.24<H/h<0.82, the range of Keulegan-Carpenter number was 128<KC<500, and the maximum particle Reynolds number was 240. The instantaneous sediment particle position and the associated fluid velocity field were measured simultaneously in the bottom boundary layer using a particle image velocimetry (PIV) system. The measurement plane was parallel to the bed and located at a height of 1/2 particle diameter above the bed. Morphological image processing techniques were used to separate the fluid (tracers) and solid (glass spheres) phases from the same PIV images based on their signature sizes. The separated image files were processed to determine the displacement, velocity, and acceleration of the individual sediment particles and the corresponding fluid velocity and total acceleration. These measurements were used to calculate the individual terms (inertia, gravity, pressure gradient, added mass, drag, lift, and friction) in the equation of motion for the sediment particle. It was found that the drag force was the largest force in the equation of motion. The equation of motion could not be balanced when bottom friction was modeled as dry or rolling friction. The equation was balanced approximately by introducing a viscous friction term of the form FF=μUsδ, where μ=dynamic viscosity; Us=sediment particle velocity; and δ=viscous length scale. Much of the drag force was canceled out by this frictional force, resulting in increased importance of the pressure gradient force. The study also evaluated several commonly used formulas for calculating the drag coefficient. It was found that the formula developed for steady motion in an infinite fluid described the measured data better than other formulas. It was also found that using the free-stream local fluid acceleration instead of the total fluid acceleration in the vicinity of the particle had negligible effects on the calculated total resultant force.

Experimental study of particle motion on a smooth bed under shoaling waves using Particle Image Velocimetry.

Energy consumption increases very rapidly as the world developing. The ever increasing energy consumption world-wide makes it urgent to find new ways to use the energy resources in a more efficient and rational way. Solar energy is currently a subject of great interest, and refrigeration is a particularly attractive .Thus, systems that have the ability to harness solar energy, as the absorption devices, present themselves as interesting alternatives in an intelligent energy management. The objective is to establish a fundamental basis for further research and development within the field of solar cooling. This paper presents simple absorption refrigeration system using Li-Br / H2O as a working pair. The Li-Br aqueous solution based absorption cycle consists of four stages: generation, condensation, evaporation and absorption with ideally no moving part. The heat input to the absorption system generator is provided by parabolic dish collectors that are coupled to a generator tank. Results and performance of this system and the effects of the refrigeration load inlet temperature on the coefficient of performance, COP of the system are presented.
