"Green" is an important topic in business today - and certainly for the electronics industry. We've seen the awareness of environment impact increase over the last few decades. Green principles have expanded to many fields in organization, including supply chain. Green supply chain management has seen an emergence in the last few years - covering every stage of manufacturing from the first to the last stage of life cycle or from product design to recycle. New regulations by several European countries and China have contributed to the industry's awareness of the issue and the adoption of many "green" practices. A good supply chain is green - green for going forward, of course, but also green for some other important reasons. For example, green can signify profit because companies can increase their income and return on assets by building effective supply chains. They can reduce costs and increase revenues. The net effect is a higher economic value added. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR], Copyrig)
