Dr. Abhishek M. Thote is an accomplished researcher and assistant professor in Mechanical Engineering at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur. He has a strong academic background, having completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 from St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur. He later pursued post-graduation in CAD-CAM specialization in 2014 from VNIT, Nagpur, and completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the same institute in 2019. His Ph.D. research, titled ""Biomechanics of orthodontic tooth movement in invisible braces: mathematical and experimental approach,"" has gained widespread recognition in the field of orthodontics.
Dr. Thote's core areas of research include Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Design, and Finite Element Analysis. He has published seven papers in reputed international journals, all of which are either SCIE or Scopus indexed. He has also been granted two patents named ""Loop device for a plurality of teeth"" and ""A Nail Rubbing Exercise Machine."" Additionally, he has the copyright of developed computer software named TRAC (Tooth Retraction Activity Calculator).
Dr. Thote's achievements also include receiving a Travel Grant by CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research), India, for Paper Presentation in ""The Asia-Pacific Conference on Life Sciences and Biological Engineering 2017"" held in Nagoya, Japan. His commitment to research and academic excellence is further demonstrated by his active participation in national and international conferences and seminars."
