Dr. Anita Nene is an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering with a PhD degree. She is a prolific researcher in the area of Solar Thermal Energy, with a focus on solar concentrators. Dr. Nene has completed a number of research projects, including a MNRE funded project (2016-19) and a Pune University funded project. She has also been granted two patents in Australia, with one currently in the process of being granted in India.
Dr. Nene has developed an empirical equation for the performance of Scheffler solar concentrators, taking into account environmental parameters after extensive experimentation. She has also developed applications of Scheffler solar concentrators and designed a test setup for air cooling systems. Her research work has been published in 10 publications in various international journals and conferences."
