Systematic Analysis and Review of Path Optimization Techniques in WSN

Wireless networks involve spatially extended independent sensor nodes, and it is associated with each other's to preserve and identify physical and environmental conditions of the particular application. The sensor nodes batteries are equipped with restricted energy for working with an energy source. Consequently, efficient energy consumption is themain important challenge in wireless networks, and it is outfitted witharestricted power storage capacity battery. Therefore, routing protocol with energy efficiency is essential in wireless sensor network (WSN) to offer data transmission and connectivity with less energy consumption. As a result, the routing scheme is the main factor for decreasing energy consumption and the network's lifetime. The energy-aware routing model is mainly devised for WSN with high network performance when transmitting data to a sink node. Hence, in this paper, the effectiveness of energy-aware routing protocols in mobile sink-based WSNs is analyzed and justified. Some energy-aware routing systems in mobile sink-based WSN techniques, such as optimizing low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) clustering approach, hybrid model using fuzzy logic, and mobile sink. The fuzzy TOPSIS-based cluster head selection (CHS) technique, mobile sink-based energy-efficient CHS model, and hybrid Harris Hawk-Salp Swarm (HH-SS) optimization approach are taken for the simulation process. Additionally, the analytical study is executed using various conditions, like simulation, cluster size, nodes, mobile sink speed, and rounds. Moreover, the performance of existing methods is evaluated using various parameters, namely alive node, residual energy, delay, and packet delivery ratio (PDR). © 2021 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston.

Selection of Cluster Head Techniques in WSN: A Review

Now a day’s mobility in sink has been renowned by the researchers. In normal conditions the data is collected by the sink with single or multi hop structure. A concept is introduced for sink with the mobility. A lot of research is going on in the field of data collection using mobile sink. The researchers talked about sink mobility where the sink is moving in the specified area and get the data from the sensor node. For collecting the data from the sensor node the mobile sink may or may not take different path on each journey. If route is not fixed then path should be calculated which should be a shortest path .For data collection methods it may use single sink or multi sink. Sink mobility basically focuses on various factors like energy consumption, life time of the network, cost of the network , hotspot problem etc .This paper contains a survey of different methods used for data collection using mobile sink.

One of the most important task of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is data collection. In sensor network the sensors are sensing the information and will be collected by the sink node with multi hoping. In such a scenario the energy is consumed by the node is more. In recent years the researchers are focusing on how to minimize the energy of the node and how it will help to improve the life of the node. One of the idea to do this is minimize the hop. The proposed framework is maximizing the lifetime of the wireless sensor networks (WSNs) by using a mobile sink. Proposed work is having the cluster with cluster head. The mobile sink moves towards the cluster head only upon the occurrence of an event .The cluster head is collecting the data from the sensor node and storing the same. Once the data is available to the cluster head, head will inform to the Mobile Sink. The Mobile Sink will move to respective position of the cluster head and data will be collected by Mobile sink.
