Dr. Mahesh B Sonawane is currently working as Assistant Professor in School of Civil Engineering of Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune. He was awarded Ph.D in Civil Engineering from VJTI, Mumbai in March 2021. He received B E (Civil) and M E (Civil- Building Science & Technology) degrees from North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon in 1998 and 2008 respectively. He joined MIT, Pune in 2006, prior to joining MIT, Pune he was working at Amrutvahini College of Engineering, Sangamner during July 1999 to Dec 2006. Dr. Mahesh Sonawane had been granted one International patent from Govt. of Austrailia in October 2020 and one patent published by Govt. of India in September 2020. He had presented research papers and posters in India and abroad at reputed International conferences. In April 2016, he presented research paper at IOP Earth & Environmental Science International conference at KualaLumpur, Malaysia. He had taught various subjects of Civil Engineering, associated with Building Design and Drawing, Building Planning, Architecture & Town Planning and Building Materials. He had also published research papers in Web of Science & Scopus indexed peer reviewed International journals. He had presented research work in India and abroad. Dr. Mahesh had also delivered expert talks at SVNIT, Surat, Gujrat in Dec 2016 & at VIIT, Pune in March 2012. He has published 06 papers in International journals and 05 papers in International conferences. He worked as chairman of various subjects of Civil Engg. of SP Pune University. He was also coordinator for National level technical symposium ‘TechnoAmrut 2006’ held at AVCOE Sangamner. His area of interest is energy simulation of buildings, building physics, GIS based studies.
