Dr. Nilesh Kumbhakarn's central field of interest as well as profession is ‘Psychology’. His M.Phil. (Psychology) research was related to the Career Maturity and Career Interests of adolescents and the Ph.D. thesis was also related to the relationship between Personality Traits and Career Interests and Personality Traits and Career Maturity.

He has gathered a massive 20+ years of experience in the field of Education as a teacher of psychology which is inclusive of Teaching, Evaluation, Career Guidance & Counselling, Psychological Testing. Dr. Kumbhakarn's thesis entitled "Personality Traits, Vocational Interests and Career Maturity: A Correlational Study" was accepted by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University and awarded PhD in Psychology in 2014.
