Dr. Siddhivinayak Kulkarni (Sid) has completed his Masters and Ph.D. in Information Technology from Griffith University, Australia. He has worked as an Assistant Professor at Nipissing University, Canada for four years and later at Federation University, Australia for ten years. Dr. Kulkarni is an Honorary Research Fellow (HRF) from School of Engineering and Information Technology, Federation University Australia. Currently, he is working as a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, MIT-World Peace University, Pune, India.
He is Program Coordinator for MTech (Data Science and Engineering). Dr. Kulkarni received Griffith Sciences International Alumnus Award for his significant contribution in teaching, research and community services at an International level.
Dr. Kulkarni has organized few workshops on Machine Learning and Algorithms in conjunction with Intelligent Sensors, Sensor Networks and Information Processing (ISSNIP) Australia, and attracted many research papers from various countries. He has served as an organizer and program committee member for more than sixty International conferences organized in various countries and editorial board member and reviewer for many reputed journals. He has published two books at an International level, along with sixty research papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals and presented many papers at International conferences. He obtained research grants from Canadian and Australian Universities for projects related to image processing, biometrics and Health Informatics. He has experience of supervising Masters and Ph.D. students. Dr. Kulkarni has been an examiner for many Masters and Ph.D. students. His research interests include computational intelligence, pattern recognition, sensor networks (IOT) and its application in image/video retrieval, and health informatics.
