Corrosion effect on reinforced concrete is one of major issue in construction industry. Reinforced concrete is widely used in construction industry due to its extensive accessibility. The outcome of steel corrosion includes damages cross section of steel area, cracks in concrete due to increasing expansive pressure, In coastal region due to effect of chloride deterioration of steel is cause which resulting into reinforcement corrosion which affects service and life of RCC structure. The bond strength between the steel reinforcing bar and concrete is thus reduced and the strength of the structure deteriorates. The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of corrosion on torsional strength, shear strength and flexural strength of reinforced concrete beams. We used accelerated corrosion technique to induced corrosion on reinforced concrete experimentally in laboratory. Using M20 grade with ordinary Portland cement, beam specimens are casted. Universal testing machine (UTM) is used flexural and shear strength and load and deflection behavior is analyzed. Specially prepared setup is used for torsional strength.

Experimental investigation of effect of corrosion on reinforced concrete beam

The objective of this research paper is to present steady state simulation model and EES program for design and thermodynamic analysis is used to predict the performance of single effect vapor absorption chiller. The working condition of steam is entering and exit to the generator. At that point, the program gives the thermodynamic properties of all purposes of the state, for example, design information each heat exchangers in the cycle and the overall performance of the cycle. The outcome is from EES program is utilized to contemplate the impact of structure parameters on cycle performance. In the conventional absorption refrigeration system dilute solution of LiBr is directly goes to the generator at inlet of generator in this type high heat source is required and increasing the area of the generator. In this paper is to present incorporation of heat reclaimer in the solution heat exchanger and the generator. The addition of one heat exchanger with increasing COP as well as reduced heat source and heat transfer area in the generator. This program gives the operating parameter at all state points, design value of all heat exchanger and design performance of the system. The refrigeration capacity of the system is 100TR. To check the performance of system by using changing flow rate of heat source, heat exchanger effectiveness. The output of this program and simulation results use for the sizing of new refrigeration system

Implementation of a Single Effect Absorption LiBr-H2O Refrigeration Chiller by using Thermodynamic Modeling and Steady State Simulation

In today’s scenario, construction equipment plants are essential for any construction projects and are also important for rapid progress and improvement in the quality of work. Breakdown and less productivity of equipment can increased the cost of construction project. Hence it is important that attempts to be made to increase the productivity of equipment. Earlier research has often addressed this fact, but it has rarely explained the causes and consequences of downtime. Thus this research paper highlights various causes of downtime of RMC plant and Transit Mixer. Also the downtime cost of RMC plant and Transit Mixer (TM) is determined by using mathematical model, COX Model and NUNALLY Model. These models are used to identify the downtime cost of equipment where COX Model gives the value by only taking into account of failure machine and not considering the impact, while the NUNALLY Model gives higher value due to considering the overall impact of failure machine on work.

Determination of Downtime Cost of Ready Mix Concrete Plant and Transit Mixer

Severe mental disorder is recognized as Depression. State of low mood and aversion to activity causes abnormal behavior of a person in both professional and daily lives. As per WHO, around 350 million people worldwide are victimized by depression. Importance of automated real time mental health analysis is increasing day by day. In this paper, we proposed a system of automated depression diagnosis. This is a new approach to predict the depression severity corresponding to HAM-D score values obtained from prediction models. The proposed framework is designed keeping in mind a multi-modal approach, aiming at capturing facial characteristics, speech properties and brain waves. Further, a decision fusion technique has been implemented to integrate the obtained information in real-time. Using statistical features extracted from the speech recording, facial video and EEG data, the individual prediction models classify the subject according to severity of depression and the outputs are then fused to increase the performance parameters. The training data was obtained from 50 subjects, who provided all three recordings necessary for analysis. In unimodal systems the EEG data provides 80%, Speech 78% and Facial recording 72% accuracy, which is much inferior to a multimodal framework which provides 92% accuracy. The experimental results show that the proposed multimodal framework significantly improves the depression prediction performance, compared to other techniques. Inferior to a multimodal framework which provides 92% accuracy. Classification of Melanoma skin cancer using Machine learning Technique

A heat exchanger is a system designed to transfer heat between two fluids to control the temperature of one of the fluids. In textile industries, heat exchangers are used to reduce the temperature of the dye liquor to be discharged. To meet this requirement, plate type and shell and tube type of heat exchangers are used. The problem with these heat exchangers is clogging, space requirement and cost. The most feasible solution to these problems is offered by spiral plate heat exchanger. Process industries have many applications where heat transfer across the multiple streams and fluids takes place, thus most effective heat exchanger is the need and making it affordable to the end user is still very important. A test rig is modified in order to carry out performance evaluation of spiral plate heat exchanger. The effect of various parameters like mass flow rate of hot fluid, mass flow rate of cold fluid, inlet temperature of hot fluid and outlet temperature of hot fluid on overall heat transfer coefficient of spiral plate heat exchanger is studied. The Spiral Plate Heat exchanger is designed and fabricated as per the design specifications. Hydro testing is done after the completion of fabrication to check if there are some leakages. The performance testing of the spiral plate heat exchanger is done, based on the testing results obtained experimental validation is carried out to check the accuracy of the experimentation. Various graphs are plotted and their trends are studied. The Spiral Plate Heat Exchanger proves to be good alternative due to higher values of overall heat transfer coefficient and self-cleaning properties

Design and Testing of a Spiral Plate Heat Exchanger for Textile Industry

Partial face images are produced in an unconstrained environment. A face may be occluded by sunglasses, a hat and a scarf, captured in various poses, positioned partially out of cameras ﬁeld of view. Human face plays an important role in our social interaction, conveying people’s identity but it is a dynamic object and has a high degree of variability in its appearances. The problem of recognizing an arbitrary patch of a face image remains largely unsolved. This study proposes a new partial face recognition approach, called Dynamic Feature Matching, which combines Fully Convolutional Networks and Sparse Representation Classiﬁcation to address partial face recognition problem regardless of various face sizes. DFM does not require prior position information of partial faces against a holistic face.

Most important and need of the hour issue is water conservation and water pollution. As the whole world is suffering from its population growth and worst water pollution problem due to its industrial growth. Due to this mankind is suffering a lot and most of the developing countries like India and China are unable to provide clean and healthy drinking water to its most of the citizens living in rural areas. Many methodologies are exist to provide the solution for the water leakage and water contamination level detection process, but most of them are relying on the electronic sensors and other electronic gadgets. So proposed methodology put forwards a simple and effective methodology of detection of water leakage based on the hyper graph formation for water distribution network by measuring the water collected levels at the check points using goal programming technique. And again Fuzzy logic is used to detect the water contamination level using its velocity at different checkpoints of the water distribution network.
