Normally, for regular pyrolysis external biomass heater which uses coal is used asheating source to enable the gasification of the biomass in the reactor. The By- products of the pyrolysisprocess viz. ‘Bio char, Bio-oil and Syngas can be used for various applications in regarding sectors. A Study of Pyrolysis On Biomass Using Solar Energy

As a result of energy saving and emission reduction, there is a way to reduce the weight of vehicle in order toreduce the consumption of gasoline. This paper is mainly devoted to several lightweight materials and technicalmethods in automobile applications ,and introduces a new approach to lightweight materials instead of mild steel.The use of sandwich materials in the automobile body panels is investigated in this study. It is concluded thatlightweight materials will be widely used in the automobile industry if the costs of lightweight materials are asmuch as traditional materials.

Study on weight reduction of automotive body structures for energy saving and emission reduction

The Landmines are one of the deadliest weapons used in war which has killed millions of people during the world war period. Specifically, even at the current scenario the landmines spares around 15000 to 20000 lives each year as per the report from UN. There are lot of devices, technologies roaming around the fields to detect the landmines and it is not sufficient or sometimes unpredictable. Few reports from UN suggests that still there are lot of landmines which is leftover without exploding and it may explode when it is triggered with pressure on it. To locate the landmines the devices like Metal detectors were used initially and later used with sensors to improve the prediction. But, all these detectors or technology goes in vain while some of the mines couldn’t be recognized due to unusual physical or chemical properties. Ultimately to overcome these drawbacks and save millions of lives of the soldiers and people who lives near war affected areas, the new proposal on “Landmine Detector drone’s using Machine Learning” is proposed in this paper. The Drone with sensor’s attached will determine the physical and chemical properties of the object present beneath the soil.

Landmine Detector Drone's Using Machine Learning

Modal analysis is a method to describe a structure in terms of its natural characteristics which are the frequency, damping and mode shapes its dynamic properties. It is a process of determining unwanted vibratory behavior pattern in an engineering component which is subjected to loading conditions. Modal analysis helps in not only determining and rectifying the problems but also assist in enhancing the product design aspects to eliminate the problems from the roots. The study uses ANSYS WORKBENCH-12 software to derive the finite element model of the fuel pipe. Based on this model, the clamp locations are found and fuel injection pipe assembly is produced. In this report we find a suitable methodology to get more effective vibration control of fuel pipe with minimum input. The methodology adopted here gives the reduction of the engine induced vibration by giving proper clamp locations and increasing suitable number of clamps.

Modal Analysis of High Pressure Fuel Injection Pipe for a DV-10 VDiesel Engine

The use of magnetic field in the control of manufacturing processes has become prime interest in the last few decades. In magneto rheological abrasive flow finishing process, magnetic force plays a significant role in finishing the surface of work pieces. In the present work, experimental study was carried to investigate the working ranges and to determine the effect of process parameters on the surface of mild steel material. Four independent parameters were studied such as time, voltage, current and rotating speed of tool along with two different abrasive powders on the performance measures like surface roughness in the process. A rotating coil electromagnet was designed and implemented to use with plane surfaces. So, in order to establish the process, the experimental set up was developed on which various trials have been conducted by considering the various shape of the tools and electromagnets also varying the A.C. supply for assessing the performance of MRAFF process. The measurement of the final surface roughness was taken with the help of contact type Model- Surtornic-25, Taylor Hobson make Mechanical Profiler. It was observed that the surface roughness decreases with increasing the percentage of polishing abrasives up to certain limit thereafter it starts decreasing. The relative increase depends upon the amount and type of abrasives used. Hence the improvement in surface roughness is considered as an outcome of the process.

Assessment of Parameters based on MagnetorheologicalAbrasive Flow Finishing Process.

Burnishing is a post machining process that is traditionally used to impart specific physical, mechanical properties on surfaces. Optimization of surface microhardness using Taguchi orthogonal array L25 is reported in the present study. The material selected for the experiment is aluminum alloy 63400 grade. Carbide roller burnishing tool is used in the experiment. The factors that are controlled are speed, feed, depth of penetration and number of passes. Vickers micro hardness tester is used to measure a microhardness. In the present investigation for analyzing the data, plot of average response curves, plot of signal to noise ratio(S/N), response graphs and analysis of variance (ANOVA) for S/N data is used. Depth of Penetration and Number of Passes are the most contributing factors in surface roughness. Optimum Condition from Taguchi Analysis is speed 10 m/min, 0.8 mm/rev feed, depth of penetration 0.12 mm and number of passes four.

Experimental investigation of roller burnishing process for microhardness of aluminum 63400 using Taguchi

The Compressors and Heat Exchangers required for applications in petroleum industry, fertilizer industry, for boilers, etc weigh upto 50 tonnes. The heavy machinery needs to be lifted so that the workers/technicians can work on the lower parts for maintenance. This lifting of heavy machinery and compressors in factories, necessary for maintenance and fitting, and assembly are still done using cranes. There is a considerable margin of risk and error in this process. Although this is currently the preferred way for lifting such heavy machines, there is need to opt for an easier lifting method. Our project focus is on designing a hydraulic system – forming a network of hydraulic actuators to effectively lift the desired load. This would include capacity of lifting of each actuator, position of the actuator and other such processes that would enable the system to lift the machine such that its level is maintained after lifting, to avoid any misalignment.

Question Answering (QA) is a narrowed form of information retrieval which filer the information from pool of documents as per the users demands. Question Answering systems uses natural language processing techniques (NLP) to process a question and then searches for the needed information to identify the answer and presents the answer to the user. With increasing amounts of data it becomes more and more difficult for users to derive material of interest, to search efficiently for specific content or to gain an overview of influential, important and relevant material so to solve this problem information filtering plays an important role to reduce data and provide user a precise set of data instead of overloading users with a large number of irrelevant documents. Requesters visiting a CQA site need to have a sufficient level of confidence that their questions will be answered, in order to come to the site in the first place. Consequently, it is critical to keep the rate of unanswered questions to a minimum. This paper aims to help alleviating this problem by using an automatic question answering system using cosine similarity and ranking algorithm which gives output in minimal time.

PATTERN BASED QUESTION ANSWER: A DATA DRIVEN APPROACH

Automatic emotion recognition has always been the talk of the town, for it finds numerous contributions to the welfare of different sectors of the society and enhances the standard of living. Emotion detection based on facial expression analysis, ECG, EEG and psychological signal processing are prevalent. Due to the drawbacks of the existing vision system for facial muscle action detection, such as it deals only with the frontal-view face images and is unable to handle the temporal dynamics of facial actions, emotion recognition using facial expression analysis is not always accurate. However, with the analysis of various psychological, EEG and ECG signal processing based emotion detection models, better efficiency, applicability to multiple users and that cause minimum amount of user inconvenience, have become plausible. As ECG signals are involuntary reactions of the body, and as such are very difficult to mask, unlike facial expressions, we intend this survey paper to be useful for the research communities working on affect detection using ECG signals processing. The paper covers automatic emotion detection model description, various linear and non-linear techniques of emotion detection specifically based on ECG signal processing. Furthermore, its limitations and applications are also explored.
