Detecting hate speech and offensive language on twitter using machine learning: An n-gram and tfidf based approach

Recently facial based age estimation has become increasingly important because of many potential real time applications. Age estimation is predicting someone's age by analyzing his/her biometric trait such as bone density, dental structure or face. Amongst these face is important trait so facial based age estimation has become more popular due to its vast real time applications. Age estimation is defined as to label the face image automatically with the exact age or age group. Estimating age from images has been one of the most challenging problems within the field of facial analysis due to uncontrollable nature of the aging process, high variance of observations within the same age range, lighting, facial expressions, pose, occlusion, blur, camouflage due to beards, moustache, glasses, makeup and the difficulty to gather complete and sufficient training data. This paper presents analysis of earlier techniques proposed by researchers for facial based age estimation. Different feature extraction and estimator learning methods used in this domain are also discussed. © 2017 IEEE.

Comprehensive review on facial based human age estimation

A Dual printing system is a mechanism used in normal printer to reutilize not only print medium but also print media. This mechanism involves three different procedures which works according to sensors used in it. A waste paper sheet full of texts or images or scratches, is given as an input to the printer to erase all the rough text and reutilize the waste page. These texts or images or scratches are done by using pen or pencil or printer text. Also we can abstract and reuse printed text ink obtained during the Heating procedure. In this whole system three procedures are involved. In the first process, pencil made rough work on the paper/waste paper erased by using erasable toner. In second procedure normal printer ink made or ball pen made texts and images erased using heating mechanism. Printed text ink melted during heating procedure is fused by applying cold air through head2. After that fused ink particles are abstracted and collected in the black ink container and same container can be reused for next printing in the printer. If texts or images are not erased during erasable toner and heating process then third technique (white ink spreading) is applied over the pixels of the character or pattern to get blank sheet. By applying all above techniques printing medium and print media are reutilized without affecting paper quality to save paper cost, printer ink, carbon emission and environment.

DPS - Printer: Dual Printer System

Overview of the present-day concentrated solar energy (CSE) technologies is presented. Approaches to concentrating solar energy are reviewed and the current projects worldwide of CSE technologies are compared. This paper presents general descriptions, current projects and summary of the CSE technologies. Parabolic trough collectors (PTCs) technology is found to be a mature technology. The linear Fresnel collectors (LFCs) technology is still in the experimental stage. The tower solar power (TSP) technology is preferred for large scale due to the cheapness. Sterling/dish collectors (SDCs) technology is designed especially for remote applications and has the highest overall efficiency and the highest operating temperature. The application areas show that CSE can be used in a wide variety of systems, could provide significant environmental and monetary benefits.

An overview of Concentrated Solar Energy and its applications

Sensor network is made up of a large number of sensor nodes for communication. Some nodes can work as a gateway which transmits data to the sink. These nodes are considered as a bottleneck in multi-hop networks because they send data collected from other nodes, and hence it drains their energy quickly. This problem is known as Hot Spot problem. So, for balancing the energy throughout the network, sink and node mobility can be used. A mobile sink could collect data without the need of gateway, and hence the problem of a bottleneck in the multi-hop network can be minimized. Along with the sink, sensor nodes also can be made mobile. Energy efficiency of WSN is achieved by using mobile sensors and mobile sink with enhanced coverage, and better channel capacity. There are various routing protocols to reduce energy consumption in a mobile WSN. This review paper﻿ mainly concentrates on the study of different protocols that are used for efficient energy consumption using the mobile sink and mobile sensor nodes. © 2018, Springer Nature Singapore Pte. A Comparative Study of Various Routing Technique for Wireless Sensor Network with Sink and Node Mobility

The major source responsible for noise pollution is internal combustion engine. These engines are used for various purposes such as in automobiles, locomotives, and in various manufacturing machineries. In an engine, the exhaust noise and the noise produced due to friction of various parts of the engine share maximum contribution to noise pollution. Muffler is a device used to reduce noise within the exhaust system. It is arranged along the exhaust pipe for the purpose of noise attenuation. The paper describes the propagation of pressure wave in a double expansion chamber reactive muffler. The approach is useful in analysis of damping for propagation of harmonic pressure waves. The purpose of paper is to describe the finite element analysis of double expansion chamber reactive muffler using pressure acoustics and to validate it with experimental evaluation using two-load method.

Attenuation analysis and acoustic pressure levels for double expansion chamber reactive muffler: Part 2

The internal combustion engine is the major source responsible for noise pollution. In an engine, the exhaust noise and the noise produced due to friction of various parts of the engine share maximum contribution to noise pollution. A muffler is a device used to reduce noise within the exhaust system. It is arranged along the exhaust pipe for the purpose of noise attenuation. In this article, the set up for experimental analysis is developed to predict the acoustic performance of reactive muffler using the two-load method, and it is validated by measuring transmission loss of known reactive muffler model by using finite element method. For the model, transmission loss obtained from experimental analysis was compared with that obtained from the finite element method. From the result, it can be concluded that the setup developed for experimental analysis is reliable to determine transmission loss of exhaust muffler, for low to mid frequency range.

Permanent environmental damage cannot be compensated in terms of money. Unfortunately, oil spills contaminate water, restraining marine species of their habitat and food supply. Despite the numerous methods available today to clean up the water body affected by an oil spill by separation of oil and water, none have restored water to its previous quality or saved marine animals from its deleterious effects to the full extent. The biggest hurdle to this cause is the sunken oil; the oil which may have either sunken mixed with sand and mud or by dispersion due to weathering. Ferro fluids are Fe3O4 based Magnetic Nano Particles (MNPs) which can be coated with a layer of polymer or surfactant to form a super-hydrophobic material which selectively adsorbs oil. This work involves coating the MNPs with Polyvinyl-pyrrolidone Styrene and Sodium Oleate. These colloidal ferromagnetic Nano-particles display considerably higher magnetic susceptibility. The MNPs are non-toxic nano sized sponges that sink deep inside the water body, adsorb 10 times their weight of oil and float back to the surface. It must be well-known that electrostatic attraction between negatively charged oil-in-water emulsions and positively charged MNPs controls the attachment of MNPs to the droplet surface; and the subsequent aggregation of the electrically neutral MNPs-attached oil droplets shows a critical role for accelerated and capable magnetic separation. During the experimental work performed, it was seen that after separating out the recovered oil, the MNPs can be regenerated and re-used. In this work, a 1-D mathematical model was developed for describing the dynamics of the action of the MNPs for oil spill cleanup and its collection in the framework of the sedimentation theory. The model was based on Newton's law of Motion, theory of batch sedimentation, Settling velocity and Stokes-Einstein equation. In order to completely understand the process and to formulate a model that correctly and aptly mimics the experimental observations, the conservation equation for MNPs was also coupled with the flux function, which accounted for gravity force, magnetic force and Brownian interaction. Parameters like offshore constraints and weather conditions were considered while running the model, to make the model more robust, as well as to observe the impact on final obtained results. © 2018 Offshore Technology Conference.

A Mathematical Model for Oil Spill Clean up Using Ferromagnetic Nanoparticles

Data publishing is an area of interest in present day technology that has gained huge attention of researchers and experts. The concept of data publishing faces a lot of security issues, indicating that when any trusted organization provides data to a third party, personal information need not be disclosed. Therefore, to maintain the privacy of the data, this paper proposes an algorithm for privacy preserved collaborative data publishing using the Genetic Grey Wolf Optimizer (Genetic GWO) algorithm for which a C-mixture parameter is used. The C-mixture parameter enhances the privacy of the data if the data does not satisfy the privacy constraints, such as the k-anonymity, l-diversity and the m-privacy. A minimum fitness value is maintained that depends on the minimum value of the generalized information loss and the minimum value of the average equivalence class size. The minimum value of the fitness ensures the maximum utility and the maximum privacy. Experimentation was carried out using the adult dataset, and the proposed Genetic GWO outperformed the existing methods in terms of the generalized information loss and the average equivalence class metric and achieved minimum values at a rate of 0.402 and 0.9, respectively.

Genetic grey wolf optimization and C-mixturefor collaborative data publishing

A prototype of the compressor with moving coil type linear motor has been developed. The developed compressor is integrated with test loop using R134a refrigerant to confirm its performance. The simulation results are validated with the experimental data. The experimental results from the test loop with strokes of 10, 11 and 12 mm for three different pressure ratios of 4, 7, 10 are presented and discussed in this paper. The COP of the system calculated is 1.4 from the test results (for 54 °C condenser temperature and −20 °C evaporator temperature) with the stroke of 10 mm, pressure ratio of 10 and cooling capacity of 134 W. The maximum COP of 2.13 is achieved (for 54 °C condenser temperature and 2 °C evaporator temperature) with the stroke of 12 mm, pressure ratio of 4 and cooling capacity of 325 W. Normal refrigerator compressors utilize lubricant oil but as the refrigerant is changed the oil suitable for particular refrigerant also needs to be changed. The novel linear compressor tested does not utilize lubricant oil. The linear compressor has only one friction point i.e. between the piston and cylinder. The linear compressor utilizes Rulon (low coefficient of friction material) as a special material coated on the piston surface in contact with the cylinder. The oil-free operation of the compressor helps in adapting the refrigerator to different refrigerants without having to consider a change of lubricating oil. Refrigeration system performance with both linear compressor and the conventional reciprocating compressor is measured and compared. System COP with the linear compressor is 18.6% more than with the commercially available reciprocating compressor. The absence of connecting rod and crank mechanism accompanied with oil-free operation due to reduced friction enhance the performance of the linear compressor.
