A Survey on Opinion Mining

Today sand casting is used enormously due to its inherent advantage of no size and shape limitation and low cost. However the major issue of defect and yield need to be addressed further. The appropriate control over process parameters and design of gating system can resolve the stated problem to greater extent. The defects like distortion, porosity and cold shut /mis-run are very much dependent on melt temperature, solidification rate and design of gating system. In present case attempts have been made to control the process by studying the effect of pouring temperature and gating system design. A commercial software AutoCAST-X1 is used for the purpose. It shows that to obtain uniform cooling and directional solidification towards feeder, use sprue position at center and side feeder should be used as in present case of cylindrical shaped hollow stepped casting of LM4 alloy. As gating ratio and melt pouring temperature is increased, shrinkage porosity and cold-shut defects are minimized to greater extent. Simulating the effect of gating design and pouring temperature on LM4 casting quality

21st century India needs planned, technologically sound and sustainable development. A crucial aspect of thisdevelopment is road transportation. The infrastructure facilities play major role in developing any zone of a country in themodern era and globalization. A smart and efficient road network enhances the progress of that region. A fresh outlook isneeded if these road networks and new developing ones are to be truly a part of the modern world. This project highlightson optimising the construction and execution aspect of a road network. It also focuses on analysing the current and futuredemand for designing a very efficient and smart road junction with aim to have a free and speedy movement for allcategories of traffic. For our project, we have chosen a 3-km stretch and an intersection in PCMC. This project will assist inredefining the design parameters for any infrastructure project.

Optimization of a Smart Road Junction

The maintenance and life of tunnel is a vital aspect of a HighwayTransportation Engineering System. The tunnelinstallation, execution and maintenance play an important role in healthy traffic movement all over the year. An innovativemodification in the process of lining of tunnels can assist help an efficient draining system by usingporous concrete before thelining layer of concrete. This study focuses on the application and utilization of porous concrete to drain off the water fromthe tunnel site.

Application of Porous Concrete for Tunnel Lining

Utilization of waste from tire industry as reclaimed tire rubber (RTR) by formation of blends with high density polyethylene (HDPE) is great area to be focused. Enhancement of properties by the addition of triallyl cyanurate (TAC) as a co-agent with 1%, 3% and 5% to blend of HDPE 50 wt% and RTR 50 wt% in presence of gamma irradiation curing were investigated. Specifically, mechanical and thermal properties were studied as a function of amount of TAC and gamma irradiation dose in range of 50–200 kGy. The resultant blends were evaluated for the values of impact strength, gel content, thermal stability, tensile properties, rheological properties and morphological properties with increasing irradiation dosage and TAC loading. The mechanical properties tensile strength, hardness, impact strength of blend containing 3% of TAC were substantially increased with increasing irradiation dosage up to 150 KGy. Rheological analysis has shown increase in viscosity with increase in TAC loading up to 3% and 150 KGy irradiation dosages. 3% loading of TAC lead to better set of properties with150 KGy gamma irradiation dosage.

In this modern age, civil engineering constructions have their own structural and durabilityrequirements. Fiber Reinforced Concrete (FRC) is a composite material made primarily from hydrauliccements, aggregates and discrete reinforcing fibers. Fiber incorporation in concrete, mortar and cement pasteenhances many of the engineering properties of these materials such as fracture toughness, flexural strength,resistance to fatigue, impact, thermal shock and spalling.The FRC is a composite material made of cement, fineand coarse aggregates and discontinuous discrete steel fibers. Recently developed an analytical model topredict the shear, tensional strength and bending torsion behavior of fiber reinforced concrete beam withexperimental substantiation. However, very little work has been reported in combined torsion and shear.Similarly to beam with conversional reinforcement, the presence of shear may significance influence ontensional strength of fiber concrete beams. Present paper investigates the mechanical properties like as shearstrength, and torsion strength of concrete with different types of steel fiber with constant volume fractions anddifferent aspect ratio.A primary finding emerging from the experimental program was that the placement offibers, increased load carrying capacity of high strength fiber reinforced concrete [HSFRC] beam. Experimental Study of Steel Fiber Pre-stressed Concrete Beam for Shear, Bending and Torsion

The central receiver concept for solar energy concentration and collection is based on a field of sun-tracking mirrors (heliostats) that reflect the incident sunshine to a receiver (boiler) at the top of a centrally located tower. A solar central receiver system is used for medium temperature process heating applications or in solar thermal power plants. A flat receiver plate was experimentally investigated with a small scale solar central receiver system in order to study the effects of receiver temperature and flux distribution on the receiver plate. Flux density distribution at the focal region of the concentrator can be estimated, if the temperature on the focal region is measured. In the present work, a thermocouple method is used to estimate the flux density distribution on the flat receiver plate. The variation of temperature on the receiver plate is experimentally estimated by varying the number of heliostats that are focused on the receiver plate. It is seen that for all cases of heliostat numbers, the radiation reflected from the heliostat field on the receiver surface generates a variation of flux density distribution. The peak flux is obtained at a single point on the receiver surface. For the small central receiver system of 7 heliostats, the peak flux value is found around 4110 W/m2 (± 2%) and the average value of flux of the receiver plate is 1984 W/m2(± 2%).

Experimental Method to Find the Flux and Temperature Distribution on the Receiver of Small Central Receiver System

Market is crowded place and the commercial organization need to work towards getting the attention of the consumers. This has led to a focus on the emotions of consumers in the marketing promotions and the route used is using children. This study is to look at the research problem of ethical issues in use of children in marketing promotion by commercial organization by looking at ethics from the benefit and cost factors perspectives. The study focused on advertising in print and television. The study approach is descriptive and the respondents have been taken from six administrative divisions towns of state of Maharashtra and are tax payers. The responses were taken through a questionnaire. The Objectives of Study: To understand the conceptual bases of marketing promotion ethics and study the benefit and cost of using children in marketing promotion. This was identified by conducting factor analysis, chi sq. test for comparing responses for benefit and cost and testing their independence. Hypotheses for the Study: There is no significant relationship between responses on benefit and cost of using children in marketing promotion. The findings indicated that respondents overall see more benefits of using children in marketing promotion with benefit responses being more in favor than cost. The finding identified benefit and cost factors for considerations by consumers and clearly indicated that there is no relationship between benefit and cost factor responses. Study identified that there is a need for strong regulatory mechanism. The study has direct benefit to marketers as it provides a template for creation of promotional campaigns using children

Consumer perception on ethics of using children in advertising

A Blind Source Separation with Fractional Calculus for Noise Reduction in Speech enhancement is proposed in this paper. Different strategies are available for reduction of noise. Fractional calculus has been recently applied in various zones like engineering, science, bio-engineering and finance. It has numerous applications, for example, use in differentiation, integral equations, signal processing, fluid mechanics, and electrochemistry. In this work speech processing signal application where Discrete Fractional Fourier Transform (DFRFT) is used which is an essential process for signal processing. DFRFT has DFT hermite Eigenvectors and retains the eigenvalue eigen operate relation as a fractional fourier transform that reconstruct the signal. For the purpose of noise reduction, Blind Source Separation has been utilizing which does not have prior knowledge of original signal. DFRFT algorithm and SNR are used to prove that the improvement of the processed enhanced signal as compared to the noisy signal. © 2017 IEEE.
