This paper presents design of precision agriculture system infrastructure aiming at a multi-parameter monitoring system using wireless sensor network. Proposed infrastructure is based on low-power Intel’s Galileo Gen-2 platform for monitoring, controlling and decision-making support using Internet of Things (IoT). Collection of different farm field parameters is to be done using sensor nodes deployed in the farmland. Each node is connected wirelessly to the base station for the collection of data using wireless transreciever hardware platform. Data is then fed to the personal computer and displayed on screen, e.g. temperature, humidity, sprinkler water flow and soil moisture. From the collected data, decision-making and controlling action can be taken by the use of Internet of Things.

Precision agriculture system design using wireless sensor network

Identity and Access Management is important in today’s evolving world. It is the process of managing who has access to what information over time. Activity of IAM involves creation of identities for user and system. Secure user access plays a key role in the exchange of data and information. In addition, electronic data is becoming ever more valuable for most companies. Access protection must therefore meet increasingly strict requirements – an issue that is often solved by introducing strong authentication. Identity and the Access are two very important concept of the IAM which are needed to be managed by the company. Companies are now relying more on the automated tool which can manage all these things. But then it creates the risk. Because tools are not intelligent enough to take the decisions, so we can add the intelligence by using the various data mining algorithm. This can keep the data over time and then build the models. This paper covers all the challenges associated with the Identity and Access Management. The possible solution is given for these challenges.

Identity and access management: concept, challenges, solutions

—“Botnet” is a network of computers that are compromised and controlled by an attacker. Botnets are one of the most serious threats to today’s Internet. Most current botnets have centralized command and control (C&C) architecture. However, peer-to-peer (P2P) structured botnets have gradually emerged as a new advanced form of botnets. Without central C&C servers, P2P botnets are more resilient to defences and countermeasures than traditional centralized botnets. In this paper, we systematically study P2P botnets along multiple dimensions: bot candidate selection, network construction, C&C mechanisms and communication protocols, and mitigation approaches. We carefully study two defence approaches: index poisoning and Sybil attack. According to the common idea shared by them, we are able to give analytical results to evaluate their performance. We also propose possible counter techniques which might be developed by attackers against index poisoning and Sybil attack defences. In addition, we obtain one interesting finding: compared to traditional centralized botnets, by using index poisoning technique, it is easier to shut down or at least effectively mitigate P2P botnets that adopt existing P2P protocols and rely on file index to disseminate commands.

P2P Botnet Prevention With The Help Of Sybil Attack

In 21st century Digital communication has become a very essential part of day to day life of every human. It has continuously evolved over the year. It has made communication easier. People can communicate anywhere and anytime large amount of data is transmitted every day, every second. Here data security comes into picture. Each and every individual want their data to be secure and doesn’t want it to be used in an unauthorized way. There are various techniques to provide data security such as cryptography and steganography. Cryptography is the science of encompassing the principles and methods of transforming a plain text message into one that is unintelligible and then, that message back to its original form. Steganography is the art and science of hiding information by embedding messages into other messages. Steganography means “Covered Writing” in Greek. Both the techniques have their own limitations; to overcome those limitations, here in this paper, we are combining both the techniques to enhance data security.

Data Hiding using Emoticons

Web search queries are often ambiguous or multi-faceted, which makes a simple ranked list of results inadequate. To assist information finding for such faceted queries, we explore a technique that explicitly represents interesting facets of a query using groups of semantically related terms extracted from search results. As an example, for the query baggage allowance, these groups might be different air-lines, different flight types (domestic, international), or different travel classes ( rst, business, economy). We name these groups query facets and the terms in these groups’ facet terms. We develop a supervised approach based on a graphical model to recognize query facets from the noisy candidates found. The graphical model learns how likely a candidate term is to be a facet term as well as how likely two terms are to be grouped together in a query facet, and captures the dependencies between the two factors. We propose two algorithms for approximate inference on the graphical model since exact inference is intractable. Our evaluation combines recall and precision of the facet terms with the grouping quality. Experimental results on a sample of web queries show that the supervised method significantly outperforms existing approaches, which are mostly unsupervised, suggesting that query facet extraction can be e effectively learned.

Survey on Search Recommendation with Mining Query Facets

In order to assure confidentiality of sensitive information stored in public clouds, a commonly embrace approach is to encrypt the information before uploading it to the cloud. Since the cloud does not know the keys used to encrypt the information, the confidentiality of the information from the cloud is assured. However, as many organizations are required to enforce fine-grained access control to the information, the encipher mechanism should also be able to provide fine-grained encryption-based access control. Proposed work solves the key escrow problem and revocation problem of the previous systems and performs only a single encryption of each data item and minimize the overhead at the data owner.

Numerical Process Modeling & Analysis for Optimization of Thinning in Automotive Cup, with Two Collars

The project deals with the analysis and design of substructure of a Hydro Power House located in Indonesia named as ‘Karai 7’. Though each and every hydro power plant have mostly similar components and machines but the analysis and design of civil structures in a plant are always done with different ideas and optimized techniques. Hence this case study is based on some new and different considerations in analysis and design aspects and optimization. The objective of this project also lies in knowing the difference between analysis and design of conventional structures and important structures or special structures. The components such as floating raft, flood protection wall, column footing with gantry loaded on it, draft tube box, penstock encasing block, anchor block, machine foundations and tail race channel in the power house to be studied, analyzed and designed. The necessity to study these components is because of new components and concepts used to analyze and design them. The design of gantry columns depends upon the moment and axial loads transferred by steel super-structure. In case of hydro-power generation plants usually situated at river side the uplift pressure is of major concern to deal with due to high water table condition. The massive hydrostatic pressure coming on the flood protection walls of power house leads to main consideration in designing of power house components. There are huge different machines in power house which are subjected to axial thrust as well as vibrations. The design of their foundations is different than conventional designs. The super structure results found by means of staad.pro. Analysis based on static and dynamic load cases will be used to design substructure. Optimum analysis results in optimum design.

Analysis and Design of Composite Power House Sub-Structure

Crack is one of the measure catastrophic failure in mechanical machines so it’s necessary to detect it in early stage. In this paper proposed a method to identify crack in early stage. The purpose of this study is to describe relation between modal natural frequencies change due to crack in shaft with respective crack parameters like Depth, Location and Width. Analysis is done for Single Crack and is evaluated. Analysis reveals how modal natural frequency decreases with change in crack size. It has been observed that when shaft suffers from a crack or any damage then its dynamic properties changes. Crack causes a reduction in stiffness and ultimately reduction in its modal natural frequencies which leads to change in dynamic response of the shaft. The results of modal analysis using FEA are validated with experimental modal analysis.
