On improvement of performance for transport protocol using sectoring scheme in WSN

One of the most important task of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is data collection. In sensor network the sensors are sensing the information and will be collected by the sink node with multi hoping. In such a scenario the energy is consumed by the node is more. In recent years the researchers are focusing on how to minimize the energy of the node and how it will help to improve the life of the node. One of the idea to do this is minimize the hop. The proposed framework is maximizing the lifetime of the wireless sensor networks (WSNs) by using a mobile sink. Proposed work is having the cluster with cluster head. The mobile sink moves towards the cluster head only upon the occurrence of an event .The cluster head is collecting the data from the sensor node and storing the same. Once the data is available to the cluster head, head will inform to the Mobile Sink. The Mobile Sink will move to respective position of the cluster head and data will be collected by Mobile sink.

A Strategy of Sustainable Development in Industry

Children in Indian society has always been a topic less spoken or discussed. The reasons of the same can be traced back to the socio-cultural background of the country. In the world children are taken as the greatest gift to humanity. Childhood is an important stage of human development as it holds the potential to the future of any society. Children who are brought up in an environment which is helpful to their intellectual, physical and social development will go on to be responsible and productive part of the society. Thus every society links its future to the present status of its children. Today child has been defined differently by different agencies as per their view and there is a very large gap and contradiction in these definitions. This paper attempts to summaries the different meaning to the word child and also give a brief overview of the magnitude of the issue from an Indian perspective. An attempt has been made to study the government policy documents and list down the actions as proposed and implemented by Indian government in the 11 th 5 year plan which has just ended in 2012. Some suggestions collected by the author, from academicians and also from the policy and plan documents about the way of eradicating the problems, are summerised in the paper. In the end the outline of the plan and strategies as identified are also given with author's suggestions. The paper identifies that a lot of policy plans have been worked but there is an urgent need for a social movement for this issue to really get addressed and resolved.

Recent few years are proved very progressive in terms of energy efficient protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks, but energy efficiency is still a point of focus in sensor networks. Among various MAC layer protocols, WiseMAC is known as one of the most energy efficient protocols. Non-Persistent Carrier Sense Multiple Access (NP-CSMA) and the preamble sampling are the main techniques used in basic WiseMAC protocol. Basically they are used to reduce the power consumption when energy is wasted in listening to idle medium. This paper investigates the WiseMAC protocol with different important schemes that are used in implementation of WiseMAC in sensor networks. These schemes basically emphasize on energy saving methods in WiseMAC. Various modifications are done to the original WiseMAC to make it more energy efficient; with the same motive of increasing energy efficiency, adaptive WiseMAC protocol with dynamic duty cycle and the adaptive Contention Window is proposed. © 2013 IEEE.

The synthesis of nano particulate CaCO3, Fe2O 3 and BaSO4 was carried out by green route using the Polymer Mediated Growth (PMG) technique. Large quantities of these nano particles up to few kilograms can be synthesized easily using the PMG method. This is also eco-friendly and green route since it is low temperature aqueous method, does not use toxic chemicals or consume high energy/ electrical power. The particles were characterized by XRD, SEM and TEM to confirm their structure and particle size at nano-levels. These were incorporated at 3-5 wt % in vinyl coatings using polyvinyl acetate or polyvinyl butyral which were coated on mild steel substrates. The corrosion protection was studied using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and monitoring the impedance, open circuit potential, phase etc. over prolonged periods of 150 to 450 hrs at 45 C in saline conditions (3.5% NaCl solution) The nano-particle additives are seen to be 7 to 10 times superior to the commercial grades in corrosion protection. The corrosion protection efficiency of these nano-particle additives is seen to follow the order nano-CaCO3 &lt; nano-Fe2O3&gt; nano-BaSO4 in vinyl coatings.
