In mobile wireless sensor network (WSN) path breakage happens frequently due to mobility of nodes, node failure, interference and shadowing. Due to this packet loss and large delay would occur. Routing protocols are implemented for mobile wireless Ad Hoc network, are not suitable for highly dynamic topologies, especially for energy and computation capability constrained sensor nodes. This paper illustrates new distributed Robust Routing Protocol (RRP) that works cooperatively to enhance the robustness of the routing, which reduces total number of retransmissions and improve the energy efficiency. And compare performance parameters like packet delivery ratio and end-to-end delay of RRP with the existing routing protocol for different network scenarios. The work is carried out using network simulator NS2.34.

Performance Evaluation of Cooperative Robust Routing Protocol for Mobile Wireless Sensor Network

Methylene blue (MB), a common toxic dye, is largely discharged from dyeing processes for acrylic, nylon, silk, and woolen fabrics in textile industries. While application of conventional removal processes like chemical precipitation, ion exchange, commercial activated carbon adsorption, etc often become cost-prohibitive, the adsorption of MB by abundantly available green pea peel (GPP: Pisum sativum) derived and acid-treated carbon (GPP-AC) has proved to be a cost-attractive option in the present study. The physicochemical and morphological characteristics of GPP-AC were examined with the help of XRD, BET surface area, SEM, and Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometry ((FT-IR) analysis. The influences of such adsorption parameters as initial dye concentration, pH, contact time, adsorbent dosage, agitation speed, particle size, and temperature were evaluated and optimized. The equilibrium contact time for maximum adsorption of MB on to GPPAC was found to be 7 h. The equilibrium data of the adsorption process were modeled by using the Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin, and Dubinin-Raduskevich (D-R) isotherms. However, the adsorption equilibrium data were best described by the Langmuir Isotherm model, with a maximum adsorption capacity of 163.94 mg MB/g GPPAC at 30°C. © The Korean Society for Biotechnology and Bioengineering and Springer 2012.

Adsorption of methylene blue using green pea peels (Pisum sativum): A cost-effective option for dye-based wastewater treatment

Random Forest is an ensemble supervised machine learning technique. Based on bagging and random feature selection, number of decision trees (base classifiers) is generated and majority voting is taken for classification. For effective learning and classification of Random Forest, there is need for reducing number of trees (Pruning) in Random Forest. We have presented here systematic survey of pruning efforts of Random Forest classifier along with the required theoretical background. Most of the work for pruning takes static approach while recently dynamic pruning is being targeted. We have also generated a Comparison Chart by taking relevant parameters. There is research scope for analyzing behavior of Random forest, generating accurate and diverse base decision trees, truly dynamic pruning algorithm for Random Forest classifier, and generating optimal subset of Random forest. © 2012 IEEE.

Wireless sensor network is an application specific network. There are various factors which affects reliability in Wireless Sensor Network some of them are energy consumption, high packet loss, congestion and large response time. There are different parameters, which affects query response time. Whenever Sink [Base Station] needs data, it sends query to source node and node response back to sink. In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) query response time depends on number of parameters like data caching, routing algorithm, node deployment, topology, data availability, query aggregation, query processing, packet loss and congestion. This paper presents a survey of various approaches which help us to minimize query response time mainly for wireless sensor networks.
