For the latest development in the direction of embedded system and wireless network, this project work describes wireless image transmission based on the embedded system. The Project Work Includes Following Features of Image Transmission using WIFI from S3C2440A to PC, S3C2440A is the h/w, with QTOPIA OS, PC with LINUX(Ubuntu) and with Socket code being in C/C++ language. Here S3C2440A will be working as Server and PC with Linux Platform(UBUNTU) will be working as Client. Experimental results show the throughput, transmission time and delay evaluation for various image file types along with speed gain using image compression. © 2012 IEEE.

Performance evaluation of wireless image transmission: An approach using embedded system

Increase in population coupled with mining, extraction and use of various metals as different industrial and household materials, the load of toxic metal pollution in the environment is increasing. The waste from metallurgical/mining sectors, in general, creates destabilization in the ecosystem, as most of the heavy metal ions are toxic to the living organisms. The demand of chromium has been increasing globally because of its extensive use in various metallurgical, chemical and leather tanning industries due to its various physico-chemical properties. The present paper deals with the adsorption of Cr (VI) using a Prunus Amygdalus (Almond nutshell). The uptake capacity of the present adsorbent was studied as a function of contact time, pH, adsorbate concentration and adsorbent dose. From the time variation experiments, the equilibrium contact time was found to be 6 hr. Cr (VI) uptake capacity of the adsorbent increased with decrease in pH. The maximum uptake capacity of the adsorbent was observed at pH 1.8. The adsorption capacity of the adsorbent was found to increase with increase in adsorbate concentration, whereas it decreased with increasing in adsorbent dose.

Autothermal reforming for hydrogen production

The Process Dynamics and Control subject is traditionally taught using mathematical equations, Laplace Transform, Z-transform techniques. Usually students do not enjoy learning the subject based on complicated mathematics. It is observed that students understand the basic concepts better if complex mathematical theory is supplemented by using software simulation tools such as MATLAB and SIMULINK. The process control trainers available in the Process Control laboratory have fixed design parameters, which are practically impossible to change during practical class. The effect of change in process parameters can be studied using MATLAB simulations. This resulted in an enhanced interactive learning of the basic concepts of Process Dynamics and Control, rather than learning through complex mathematical equations. In this paper, the dynamic behavior of standard processes is analyzed using MATLAB. This process knowledge is useful for controlling the process response to desired specifications.

Study of open-loop response characteristics of processes using MATLAB

Image Fusion is a technique that integrates complementary information from multiple images such that the fused image is more suitable for processing tasks. The paper starts with the study of initial concepts for image fusion. In this paper, the fusion of images from different sources using multiresolution wavelet transform with preprocessing of Image Fusion is proposed. The fused image has more complete information which is useful for human or machine perception. The fused image with such rich information will improve the performance of image analysis algorithms for medical applications.

Generating UML diagrams from natural language specifications

As more and more web services that provide the same functionality are developed, it is a major issue to consider not only the functional requirements but also the non functional requirement (NFR) during web service discovery process. The NFR define the Quality of Service (QoS) of the system. Much work has been done on web service discovery process that considers the functional requirements as selection criteria. However not many service discovery strategies consider the QoS properties. On the basis of our study and survey, we advocate that the best performance is achieved by use of both functional and NFR properties. We believe that the user NFR should be expressed explicitly to aid in selecting a web service that best fulfils them. To support this claim we present a detailed survey of web service discovery systems that makes use of QoS factors. Paper also highlights the importance of ontology to represent the non functional requirements in web service discovery. We emphasize how Ontology if built and refined by domain experts can be used for web service discovery process with the purpose of reuse and improved design. © 2012 IEEE.
