An artificial neural network based three phase real time power quality analysis is proposed in this paper. The scaled conjugate gradient descent algorithm is used as a learning algorithm for neural network. The training and testing data required is generated from the experimental set up of three phase power quality disturbance generator. The exprimental setup is based on the changing voltage range which is controlled by solid state relays. The solid state relays are controlled by the microcontroller. The disturbances generated are sag, swell, interruption, harmonics with and without sag/swell. These disturbances are acquired with the help of NI USB 6361 data acquisition system. The initial training and testing is done in the MATLAB with the dataset collected from disturbance generator. The mathematical model of the trained network is developed and implemented in the LabVIEW for the real time testing. The real time results of the analysis are displayed in the LabVIEW graphic user interface console.

An Experimentation on Properties of Geo-polymer Concrete with fibres

The data dissemination toward the sink node in a wireless sensor network in one of three ways: single-hop data dissemination, multi-hop dissemination and multi-hop dissemination, using the nearest cluster head or sector head (SH). This study focuses on third multi-hop data dissemination in which SHs are selected in the network, other nodes disseminate data toward these SHs and then, the SHs transfer the collected data to the sink node. This paper proposes a novel approach to SH selection called Energy-Efficient Reliable Sectoring-Scheme (EERSS). It is supported by an optimization algorithm called Cat Swarm Optimization (CSO), which proves that the elected number of SH is optimal. This CSO based EERSS algorithm is implemented to rank quality of service parameters, such as network lifetime maximization, with reliability and to minimize energy consumption. A path reliability prediction-based Markov chain model is applied to the CSO-based-EERSS algorithm to achieve results that are superior to that of traditional models. After the construction of the proposed prediction algorithms CSO-based-EERSS (P-CSO-EERSS), its performance is compared with that of the traditional CSO-based-EERSS, EERSS and Particle Swarm Optimization based EERSS, concerning packet delivery ratio(PDR), end-to-end delay and energy consumption. The SH selection performance of the proposed P-CSO-EERSS is superior to that of the traditional algorithms based on low energy consumption and high PDR.

Multi-hop Energy-Efficient Reliable Cluster-based Sectoring Scheme Using Markov Chain Model to Improve QoS Parameters in a WSN

Authentication is a commonly used technique in software applications to ensure whether the correct user is getting access to secured services or not. Due to the fast pace of data growth, there is an increasing need for security of online data. This is commonly achieved by the use of various CAPTCHAs. CAPTCHAs are an implementation of reverse Turing test. Turing test is used to distinguish between humans and computers. A fundamental property that the use of CAPTCHA necessitates is that the CAPTCHA must be easy and efficient for humans but difficult for computers. CAPTCHAs are used to protect the data from malicious bots and web crawlers. They are not only used in web sites but also used in banking transactions, cloud computing, distributed infrastructures and income tax services. An Overview of Various Types of CAPTCHA

The object-oriented programming is widely adopted in recent software developments. The development of a well-designed software system is needed that reduces software maintenance costs. On the other hand, the internal structure of the software system is deteriorating due to prolong maintenance operations. In such cases, restructuring is one of the strategies to strengthen the system’s overall internal structure without changing its external behavior. Another restructuring strategy is to use refactoring on the current system. Code refactoring is an effective approach to software development to improve the internal structure of the program. Through refactoring, the quality of the program can be enhanced by maintenance and improvement in reliability. Code refactoring is done without any modification in its features. Cohesion is used to assess a software system’s design quality and is the main pillar of object-oriented software development in good software design. Using software metrics, the quality of object-oriented classes that require code refactoring is assessed. This work proposes the need for refactoring and focuses on exploring how to use object-oriented metrics as guidance where code refactoring may be used. Simulation modeling tackles real life problems securely and feasibly. It gives an outstanding strategy for assessment which is effectively checked, passed on and acknowledged. In this paper, dynamic model of an electric vehicle is made with the help of MATLAB Simulink. The energy consumption estimation of the electric vehicle is resolved, compared to the drive cycles related. The impact of various drive cycles on the utilization of energy by vehicle and its consequences for other vehicle boundaries are discussed. © 2021 IEEE.

Range Estimation of Electric Vehicle using MATLAB

Early and accurate detection of melanoma with data analytics can make treatment more effective. This paper proposes a method to classify melanoma cases using deep learning on dermoscopic images. The method demonstrates that heavy augmentation during training and testing produces promising results and warrants further research. The proposed method has been evaluated on the SIIM-ISIC Melanoma Classification 2020 dataset and the best ensemble model achieved 0.9411 area under the ROC curve on hold out test data.

Event detection in social media is one of the important tasks in computer field. It facilitates in developing preventive measures for the companies. The event detection is gathering attention because social media is getting popular day by day. The approaches that have been proposed don’t represent the social network in a complete manner. Notable changes can be made in the social network’s context by defining an event as occurrence with enough momentum and force. Thus, our motive is to detect an event based on its necessary characteristics. This paper describes different types of event detection methods that have been proposed to find out hot events, key posts, and influential posters. Event Detection from Social Media Using Machine Learning

The internet is a huge pool of data. It consists of various websites that provide numerous recipes and it becomes difficult for a person to manually search for a recipe based on the available ingredients daily. Inventory management is a difficult task because it is not feasible to keep track of every food ingredient. The objective of this paper is to provide an effective solution to manage inventory of the user using the Internet of Things (IoT) as well as recommending a recipe to the user using the available inventory. A recipe scoring algorithm that follows a collaborative filtering approach is proposed to score the recipes and the recipes that yield a higher score will be recommended to the user. This reduces the time and efforts of the user which makes the system more efficient and user-centric. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2021.
