The paper discusses about the move of demonetization taken by Central Government of India on 8 th November, 2016 with respect to its reasons and effects on different sectors in India. The sectors cover Micro Businesses, E-Wallet businesses, online retail stores and so on. The paper is based on secondary data collected from different newspapers and online sources, mentioned in references. Introduction Demonetization is the act of stripping a currency unit of its status as legal tender. It is a process of removing a currency from general usage or circulation of money in a country. Demonetization is an act where the old unit of currency gets retired and replaced with a new currency unit. It can also be considered as withdrawal of a specific currency from market. The birth of a paper currency in India Before we start with the discussion of demonetization which took place on 8 th November, 2016 we will look into history of birth of paper currency as how use of paper currency had been started in India. Until the 18th century, people in India used to use silver and gold coins to carry out their day to day transactions. But then some European companies established their own banks in the region to carry out their business transactions, like the Bank of Hindustan in Calcutta. They introduced the very first versions of Indian paper notes which then boosted the further popularised the use of paper notes. The Bank of Bengal went on to release notes that featured a small image of a female figure meant to represent the idea of " commerce, " as well as the bank's name and the denomination in three scripts: Urdu, Bengali and Nagri. However, it was only after the Paper Currency Act of 1861 that the British colonial government really got involved in producing money, establishing the paper currency as we know it today. Money was now to be issued by the state alone, not banks.

Management of pharmaceutical sales representatives: A literature review

Now a days, being successful in the national market for a company is not enough. Due to globalization there have been many international investments and mergers and acquisitions. Because of these activities companies are required to think about new measurements to remain competitive in the global market. The necessity of transferring knowledge and developing international management has increased. In this meaning, expatriation and expatriates have become an essential part of international management and companies' success in the global market. Expatriation has become a common application for multinational companies. Many companies assign their high level employees for overseas jobs within the same organization for a certain time period. As a result of these assignments, expatriates gain international knowledge and upon their return they are expected to utilize their international experience to increase performance and knowledge sharing at their home organizations. However, the positive returns from expatriation cannot be harvested right away, as the repatriation process also involves some difficulties regarding adjustment to the home country after an international experience and this process can be more traumatic than expatriation. Poor process of expatriation or repatriation has direct impact on employee satisfaction about the process and indirectly it affects the overall performance. Human Resource Management Functions plays a vital role in managing all such processes. Better process and its implementation is the base for International Human Resource management strategies. This study attempts to identify factors that impact expatriation and repatriation process and satisfaction of employee. The research study is majorly based on secondary data. Better Process Leads to Peak Performance: A Role of Human Resource Management Function towards Expatriation and Repatriation Process- An Overview through Existing Literature.

"Stress is simply the adaptation of our bodies and minds to change; and change, as we noted, is about the only constant left in the workplace." Peter G. Hanson, M.D. Stress affects employees at all levels and types of jobs. Stress is the "wear and tear" that the body experiences, as it adjusts to the continually changing environment. It has physical and emotional effects and can create positive or negative feelings. As a positive influence, stress can help compelling one to action; it can result in a new awareness and an exciting new perspective. As a negative influence, it can result in feelings of distrust, rejection, anger and depression, which can lead to health problems. The concept of Organizational stress has gone from being a 'buzzword' to becoming a norm among many corporations globally. The presence of occupational stress has devastating effects on work culture, individual and organizational productivity and has led to the losses of many potential giants. In an organization stressors can be categorized as: administrative responsibilities, administrative policies and strategies, organizational structure and design, organizational processes and working conditions. Keeping in view the day to day increase in organizational stress and ignorance about coping strategies by individuals. A Mix of Managers and Executives were selected for the study. The primary data was collected through questionnaire method by distributing and collecting data from the executives and managers of manufacturing and service sectors in Pune city. The researcher was proactive enough to spend some time with the selected respondents before the questionnaire and could gather some information and reactions of the respondents which very important and vital for stress research. It is difficult to find out the exact cause/reason of stress and then administer stress reduction techniques like Yoga and Meditation and other organizational interventions like relaxation and counseling etc. Employees are going through severe competition and benchmarking and hence are leading towards a suffocating environment. It is difficult to survive in highly competitive environment, cut throat competition within the organization, which is more suffocating since status and designations do matter a lot for working professionals and hence the stress. The research is a highly focused on to study the Stress causes and related consequences, on organizational workforce especially the management level. It is also aimed at assessing and evaluating the interventions by the HR department to manage/reduce stress. Management and HR departments did intervene in stress reduction by creating type of counseling and awareness among the employees, motivating them to participate in decisions involving changes in work conditions, reducing Work Overload and Under load and creating provisions for stress management programs as part of their welfare activity - Indian Yoga& Meditation, relaxation techniques and other related recreational activity. Strategies and Challenges for Management dealing with Organizational Stress Management.

India's mutual fund market has witnessed phenomenal growth over the last decade. The consistency in the performance of mutual funds has been a major factor that has attracted many investors. The present research is an attempt to study comparative performance of selected mutual funds. The study focus on selected mutual fund schemes of selected Indian companies comprising Equity Schemes. The total 17 sector equity mutual funds are selected for the study. The performance of selected mutual funds is analyzed with the help of Return, risk (standard Deviation) and Sharpe ratio. The average annual return for the sector equity mutual fund is 31.06 percent for the selected mutual funds. The average annual return is highest at 45.68 percent for ICICI Prudential Technology Fund - Regular Plan whereas average annual return is lowest at 17.02 percent for Kotak PSU Bank ETF. The average standard deviation is 43.70 for the sector equity mutual fund. The standard deviation is highest at 59.64 for Franklin Infotech Fund whereas standard deviation is lowest at 22.56 for ICICI Prudential FMCG Fund - Regular Plan for the period 2009-14.The Sharpe ratio signifying the performance of mutual fund is highest at 1.088 for SBI FMCG Fund whereas it is lowest at 0.199 for Kotak PSU Bank ETF for the period 2009-14.The average Sharpe ratio 0.59 for the sector equity mutual funds of selected Indian companies. Net Performing Assets of Indian Banks- A Comparative Study

This study attempts to investigate customer experience with respect to the bancassurance channel. Design/Methodology/Approach - The study is based on primary data collected using a structured questionnaire from customers buying life insurance policies from SBI Life through diff erent branches of State Bank of India in the city of Guwahati in the state of Assam, India. Cronbach's alpha was used to test the reliability of the questionnaire. Statistical tools, such as mean, standard deviation and factor analysis were used to attain the objective of the study. Findings and implications - The study found that customers have favorable experiences when buying life insurance through the bancassurance cha nnel. There are seven core factors that aff ect customer experience in bancassurance: Ease of buying, whether maturity benefi t is received, reliability of the channel, responsiveness of the channel, after-sale services, stock market-related information and accuracy of the channel. Banks should devise a strategy to sustain favorable experiences of their customers, as this enables banks to retain their existing customers while also attracting new ones. Limitations - The study is restricted to customers buying life insurance policy from various branches of State Bank of India in Guwahati, India. Therefore, longitudinal and cross-sectional research is needed to generalize the fi ndings. Originality - The study is fi rst of its kind and hence original in nature.
