MoO3-PVA films hybridized with silver and copper nano-particles mediated by microwave heating were studied for energy applications. The composites films were characterized by Infra-red (FTIR), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), UV–Visible spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The crystallite size from XRD peak width was estimated to be about 60–65 nm in the nanocomposite. The electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding efficiency of so generated composites showed that metal containing composites have higher efficiency in X-band. The EMI study showed promising scope for application in low shielding requirement areas. The so-generated silver containing hybrid system resulted in visible light tunable band-gap (2.34–2.81 eV). Ag-MoO3-PVA (Sample PV-C) showed more than 90 % photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue dye. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.

Microwave processed metal nanoparticles/MoO3-PVA photoactive nano-composites for energy applications

Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) is central to the foundation of robotic exploration. Over the decades, numerous advancements have been made in the field of SLAM. Currently, most of the applications based on SLAM are implemented using a single robot. In practical applications like search and rescue operations, there is a need to implement SLAM at a multi-robot level. Multi-robot SLAM: Challenges and Solutions

This paper presents the results of laboratory work carried out for identifying the outer race bearing fault occurred in an induction motor. The knowledge about fault behavior of an induction motor is extremely important for overall operational life of the machine. The paper refers to spectral analysis of the motor stator current, which includes routine stator current, noise and specific fault current signature. Using separate healthy and faulty bearing on the machine, testing is carried out for obtaining set of healthy and faulty currents for different load conditions. The specific fault signature can be separated using feature extraction in time domain Wavelet and after getting spectral information using classification technique ANN fault is identified. © 2017 IEEE.

Outer race bearing fault identification of induction motor based on stator current signature by wavelet transform

Power Systems suffer from various types of faults such as Phase and Earth Faults. These faults lead to overcurrent in the circuits. Numerical Relays embedded with Digital Signal Processor (DSP) can be used to protect the system components as they can perform complex processing faster with higher accuracy and also avoid problem of false tripping. DSP based processing can also be optimized for real time. In this paper, TMS320F28335 based Implementation of Numerical Relay is discussed. TMS320F28335 is a floating point Digital Signal Controller (DSC). Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT) is used to detect the spurious signals and faults more accurately. The proposed overcurrent protection system is implemented on real time basis with the help of AntiAliasing filter and Signal Conditioning Circuit to scale the inputs from Current Transformer. Anti-Aliasing filter is designed based on the fault current simulation data generated using Power System Simulation Software. Fault current patterns generated are analyzed by calculating Fourier Transform coefficients that decide the filter specifications. Code Composer Studio (CCS) IDE is used for the development of algorithm. The paper discusses development of overcurrent protection algorithm based on RMS calculation for single phase circuits using TMS320F28335. The overcurrent relay Inverse Definite Minimum Time (IDMT) characteristics curves based on the simulated fault current data are used as basis and are implemented for Single Phase Circuits. © 2014 IEEE.
