Nowadays, Project-based learning is an integral part of many professional courses in Engineering. Projectbased learning is a student-centric approach in which students learn about a course by working in groups to solve an open-ended real world problem. In our opinion, it takes students near to the real world at a very early stage. For students, it acts as a tool to learn concepts and principles, to adapt to the evolving ICT industrial requirements and challenges. The objective here is to convey our systematic teaching and learning method, based on Project- based learning, to effectively learn the principles and practices of Software Engineering. Also, it prepares students how to apply these theoretical concepts to solve the real world problems by working in a team. For more than 10 years we are conducting this activity very rigorously for Third Year Computer Engineering students. This activity incorporates applying theory of Software Engineering to develop experiential learning by developing a mini-project using Database and Web Technology. Our 7- point method for development of mini-project has continuous Assessment through critical reviews and presentations by students. We conducted survey for all batches and took their feedback to understand the role of Project Based Learning in their Professional Career. Feedback of these students helps us to update our methodology and/or course contents. Applying Database technology and getting acquainted with development of user interface is bit easy for students but applying the Software Development Life Cycle [3] learnt in Software Engineering is quite challenging. There are many skills they learn and acquire while developing mini-project like questions to be asked during field work, design strategy and analysis through modelling, teamwork[4], time management, communication skills and many more which takes them a step closer and works as a basic building block for their growth as a software professional. Our survey questionnaire gives insight of all and acts as a measuring tool. Project based learning methodology: An effective way of learning software engineering through database design and web technology project

In the domain of psychological practice, experts follow different methodologies for the diagnosis of psychological disorders and might change their line of treatment based on their observations from previous sessions. In such a scenario, a standardized clinical decision support system based on big data and machine learning techniques can immensely help professionals in the process of diagnosis as well as improve patient care. The technology proposed in this paper, attempts to understand psychological case studies by identifying the psychological disorder they represent along with the severity of that particular case, with the help of a Multinomial Naive Bayes model for disorder identification and a regular expression based severity processing algorithm. A knowledge base is created based on the knowledge of human experts of psychology. Psychological disorders however need not possess distinct symptoms to easily differentiate between them. Some are very closely connected with a variety of overlapping symptoms between them. Our work, in this paper, focuses on analyzing the performance of such psychological disorders represented in the form of case studies in a decision support system, with an aim of understanding this gray area of psychology. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Performance Analysis of Psychological Disorders for a Clinical Decision Support System

In the current scenario, there is no computing system in practice which understands or provides analytical insights for the language used in the psychological documents maintained by psychiatrists. Most importantly, there is no standardized language or methodology used in psychiatric practice to diagnose a psychological disorder. The main aim of our system is to provide a standardized platform for an assistance in diagnosis using Natural Language Processing techniques and Sentiment Inference. The system would suggest to the psychiatrist, the psychological disorder identified and its severity from the document text. The severity is obtained via a gradient score, which is computed by the semantic based gradient processing module - the core of our research. The psychiatrist can approve/correct the system diagnosis if necessary and reassign the gradient values for phrases contributing towards disorder severity. In an automated process, model gets re-trained after a particular threshold is reached, continually improving its performance. © 2018 IEEE.

Intelligent AI Assisted Psychological Disorder Analysis Using Sentiment Inference

Nowadays in educational institutions teachers provide problem statement to students and students submit their solution in accordance with problem statement provided. Grading of these solutions done manually. It is a time-consuming task. To find out the correctness of the solution they required to run multiple test cases. Also, teachers have to ensure that each computer in the lab has editor and compiler to run the code. This paper will provide guidelines for system interface to teachers in which teachers are able to create new programming assignments and assign it to a particular class. Also, this system helps teachers for grading of programming assignments. It will provide a detailed report of class for each programming assignments. It will also reduce the overhead of installing the software required to edit and run the code. This the system provide an easy interface to students to edit and to compile programs. It will also provide the detailed analysis of evaluated assignments. © 2017 IEEE.
