The main aim of this study was to experimentally investigate and analyze the behavior of various process parameters like the ratio of concentration of CIPs and Al2O3 abrasives, the current supplied to the electromagnet, rotating speed of tool, feed rate of the workpiece, the working gap between rotating tool and the workpiece surface, and workpiece hardnesses of AISI D3 steel material on the response of surface roughness, Ra and difference between initial surface roughness and final surface roughness obtained using magnetorheological fluid based finishing process. Also possible reasons for trends have been proposed through extensive trials and examination. These initial values form the basis of selection of ranges for each parameter for the further process characterization and optimization for improving the finishing performance of the MR fluid assisted process. Investigating the Behavior of Parameters using Magnetorheological Abrasive Flow Finishing Process

In this research the strength and durability parameters of recycled aggregates are studied to determine the optimum quantity of recycled aggregates that can be used as substitute for natural aggregates without affecting the strength of concrete. Compression test, Water penetration Test and Rapid Chloride penetration test were conducted on specimens of Grade M40, M50 and M60 with 0, 40, 60 and 80 % of replaced aggregates. For compression test the cube was cured for 28, 56 and 90 days, and for durability test (Water penetration Test and Rapid Chloride penetration test) cube was cured for 28 days. The result is obtained and compared with that of natural coarse aggregate. It is found that use of recycled aggregates does not decrease the strength of concrete substantially.

From yesteryear soil retention has been a problem faced by mankind. In his research for better results man has tried several ways to retain massive masses of soil ranging from bamboo, wood, and alternative materials to random detritus masonry. As time progressed RCC retaining wall has become the foremost commonly sought after solution .With the appearance of recent concepts and materials, technology has found better methods to retain heavy masses of soil. RE wall using Geogrid is new soil retaining technology have been widely used in recent years worldwide but the implementation is not up the mark in India. Here the paper focuses on the study of RCC wall and retaining walls using Geogrid for the purpose of cost and time consumption comparison.

Study of Geogrid Reinforced Soil Retaining Wall &amp; Its Comparison with R.C.C. Retaining Wall with Respect To Cost &amp; Time

HFC-32 is being considered as one of the replacement option for HCFC-22 in room air conditioners. HFC-32 is non ODS and its GWP is 675. HFC-32 is moderately flammable and is classified under A2L under latest ASHRAE 34 standard. The volumetric capacity of HFC-32 is about 60% higher compared to HCFC-22. This demands smaller size compressor for HFC-32 for equivalent capacity of HCFC-22. HFC-32 operating pressures (condensing and evaporating) are higher in the range of 60% to 80% than HCFC-22. HFC-32 gives lower pressure drop in heat exchangers than both HCFC-22 and R410A. The pressure drop for HFC-32 in evaporator is about 8% lower than R-410A, and 36% lower than HCFC-22. In condenser, pressure drop are much lower than pressure drop in evaporator. The discharge temperature of HFC-32 is higher than HCFC-22. In this paper, the simulated performance of split air conditioners (SAC) using HFC-32 with nominal cooling capacity of 5.2 kW is compared with finned tube condenser (FTC) and parallel flow condenser (PFC). The simulation has been carried out for SAC using test conditions prescribed in Indian Standards IS 1391 (1992) Part I. PFC gives about 4% and 6.3% higher cooling capacity and EER respectively than that of FTC. PFC gave 9 oC lower discharge temperature compared to FTC. HFC-32 charge inside the SAC is about 17.3% lower compared to FTC.

Simulated performance comparison of HFC-32 in finned tube and parallel flow condenser

In the present paper, the effect of a centrally placed circular obstruction on sloshing frequency and sloshing mass is studied for annular tanks. Finite element approach (ANSYS software) is used to model the liquid. For circular tanks without obstruction, sloshing frequency and sloshing mass at first three modes are obtained using finite element analysis which compare well with the available analytical results. Next, a rigid circular obstruction at the center of tank is modeled and sloshing frequency and modal mass in the first three modes are obtained. It is observed that with the increase in the diameter of the circular obstruction, the sloshing frequency and the percentage of liquid in sloshing mode decrease in first mode. The behavior of these sloshing parameters in higher modes is also discussed. A detailed study over wide range of circular tank geometries is performed. Charts for obtaining sloshing parameters for various tank geometries are plotted.

Root canal treatment (RCT) is repairing and saving the badly decayed or infected tooth. Endodontic means treating tooth from inside and Obturation is a process of complete filling and sealing of 3D root canal space with gutta percha as biocompatible sealing material against bacterial growth. The main cause of Endodontic treatment failure is the incomplete sealing of the root canal. The degree of endodontic success depends to greater extent on mechanical sealing of root canal cavity with gutta percha. One of the means to quantify measures for evaluating Root canal success is to get compaction loading pattern during Obturation and corresponding Radio-visio-graph. Current paper discusses a brief review and automation used in the Obturation process to extract experimentally the compaction load pattern on C2 curvature tooth.

Facial Features Based Emotion Recognition

In multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) systems, multi-user detection (MUD) algorithms play an important role in reducing the effect of multi-access interference (MAI). A combination of the estimation of channel and multi-user detection is proposed for eliminating various interferences and reduce the bit error rate (BER). First, a novel sparse based k-nearest neighbor classifier is proposed to estimate the unknown activity factor at a high data rate. The active users are continuously detected and their data are decoded at the base station (BS) receiver. The activity detection considers both the pilot and data symbols. Second, an optimal pilot allocation method is suggested to select the minimum mutual coherence in the measurement matrix for optimal pilot placement. The suggested algorithm for designing pilot patterns significantly improves the results in terms of mean square error (MSE), symbol error rate (SER) and bit error rate for channel detection. An optimal pilot placement reduces the computational complexity and maximizes the accuracy of the system. The performance of the channel estimation (CE) and MUD for the proposed scheme was good as it provided significant results, which were validated through simulations.

For achieving strongest form of access control, we are using to construct cipher text-policy attribute-based encryption in our work also we implemented Division and replication of Data in the Cloud for Optimal Performance and Security (DROPS) which secures data from threats and attacks in this DROP technique data is fragmented and stored using T-Coloring graph in cloud storage. Each node is able to store only one fragment of one file. Third Party Auditor will check integrity of stored data and inform the data owner

During the impact of seismic waves, we observe greatcollateral damages as ground shakes every structureconnected to ground face the impact. What if we detach thestructure from ground or base? Friction pendulum as a baseisolator works in similar way by decoupling the structure fromits base and hence reducing the responses that damages thestructure.As concept of single friction pendulum was introduceit was observed that it displaces in large space which causeddifficulty in installing multiple bearing at one site. So toovercome this situation new bearing were designed in whichmultiple plates slide over each other. Due to its mechanism ofsliding over multiple plates, their performances were betterthan single friction pendulum, though using less space to slide.Triple friction pendulum was highly preferred when it comesto select for base isolation, because of its adoptive naturetowards all three level of earthquake (SLE, DBE, and MCE).This paper summaries response analysis of optimizedtriple friction pendulum (TFP) at base of 9 storey RCC buildingunder seismic waves. The building is situated in earthquakezone V as per IS1893:2002. As for reference it is comparedwith fixed base structure under same seismic condition. Theresults indicate by addition of triple friction pendulum at baseof structure, significant decrease in responses like storey drift,storey shear, spectral acceleration, input energy was observed.Also, it obviously leads to increase in fundamental time periodof structure. One of major aspect of triple friction pendulumwas taken care of, that is, re-centering capability of plates byplotting the displacement-time graph of each link.
