the purpose of this study is to conduct a physical survey for distresses analysis of 50 lanes of urban flexible roads and to conduct a comparative study on pavement condition rating methods (PCRM) using IRC method, and Highway preservation system. 50 lanes of urban flexible pavements from all over Pune city are selected as a case study. The lanes are visually surveyed to detect the types, severity and extent of the distresses based on IRC and WDOT guidelines (Distress identification manuals). Firstly the lane wise data base is created. Secondly the severity and extent is determined based on IRC and WDOT (DIM). And thirdly the lane wise Pavement condition index (PCI) values are calculated by the methods of IRC, and HPS. To differentiate between both the methods the correlation analysis has been carried out.

A comparitive study of Pavement Condition Rating Methods for Flexible Pavements

The increasing number of vehicles in the city, leading to traffic congestions is the major hurdle in the development of the city. Thus there is a need for proper road traffic demand management for the city. The objectives of the paper are tostudy the various problems faced by the city for two locations(viz. Katraj Intersection and Nalstop Intersection), and also presents solution for the traffic demand management at the intersections. The study is based on the road resources and characteristic of the urban traffic found from the video recordings done at the junction for 8 days during the peak and non-peak hours. Based on the Vehicular Volume Dataand Turning Movement Survey observed at these intersections, the paper discusses the solution to the increasing congestion and its effect on the traffic.

Breast cancer is second most dangerous disease in the world after the lung cancer among women. Because ofthis reason, breast cancer detection is most focused area by many researchers. Digital mammographic images andadvanced techniques are required by many researchers for developing Computer aided detection (CAD) for breastcancer detection. This study describes the recent advances in image processing and machine learning techniques forbreast cancer detection. The study shows that Local Binary Pattern method used for feature extraction and Supportvector machine for classification as foremost technique used for breast cancer detection. The comparative study ofliterature work summarizes the effectiveness of different approach used by researchers for breast cancer detection.

A Survey of Breast Cancer Detection and Classification Based on Texture Feature

Swirl is the one of the principle air motion inside the engine cylinder. Swirl plays a very important role in combustion process so it is required to maintain correct amount of Swirl value within cylinder to achieve required engine emission norms. Swirl is represented by a dimensionless number called ND Swirl. As valve lift changes the ND swirl value also changes. In this present work CFD Analysis is carried out to predict the amount of Swirl induced in Diesel engine during the air induction process. ND Swirl is calculated at valve lift of 6mm, 8mm, 9.476mm, 12mm and 16mm. After analysis it is observed that as Valve liftincreases Mass flow rate and ND Swirl value increases. ND Swirl value obtained from CFD analysis is validated with Experimental results and concluded that there is less than 5% of error in between CFD and Experimental results

CFD Analysis and Experimental Validation of Intake Swirl for Diesel Engine

In this work Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)model is developed for analysis of premixed methane-air combustion in constant volume combustion chamber. First CFD model was implemented for natural gas-air mixture and validated with experimental results for pressure-time history from literature. Then CFD model is implemented for analysis of methane-air mixture.For ignition of premixed mixture laser ignition method is used. In this study the variation of pressure versus time is investigated to study the combustion characteristics. Also variation of mass fractions for reactants and products with respect to time was found out from CFD analysis. For CFD analysis commercial CFD solver STAR CCM+ is used.

CFD Analysis of Premixed Methane-Air Combustion using Laser Ignition

As wireless sensor network proposes a new low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) protocol for wirelesssensor networks that use a distributed cluster formation based on affinity propagation (AP). By using Distributed cluster formationgenerate Cluster. The proposed LEACH protocol (LEACH-AP) enables a fully distributed control and resolves practical limitations ofconventional LEACH-based protocols by simplifying network functionalities. The results show that the proposed protocol outperformsexisting LEACH-based protocols considerably in terms of network lifetime, energy dissipation rate, and total number of transferredbits. The main idea is to formulate the WSN setup into median-based clustering, which guarantees the center of a cluster to be amember of the cluster, and to learn the optimal cluster number adaptively according to network topology. In this system we are usingK-means algorithm for cluster formation. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are subject to energy management for maximizing theirlifetime. The result sending acknowledgement and data so require low energy and time for that operation.

Secure Energy Efficient Data Transmission over WSNs

The concept door locking and unlocking system utilizesInternet of things to open and close the door. In addition to thisthe security will be provided using camera and IR sensor in caseof any unauthorized access. The system automatically locks thedoor as soon as it receives predefined message from the user. Theuser should first enlist. His information will be stored in database.Whenever the message will be received from the registered user,the Raspberry pi will accordingly give instruction to door locksystem. Then system will perform action on either door locking orunlocking. In case of unauthorized access, the sensor will detectthe action and send the alert message to the registered user usingInternet of things. This builds extraordinary security for homesand that too without human intervention.Also, the project is aimed at developing the security of homeagainst gas leakage & liquid petroleum gas (LPG) leakage. Home Security Using Image Processing and IOT

To perform some operation there is a need of some amount of energy over the node is same to the sending the single bit of data in the network. Data transportation reduces the network lifetime when sending data in sensor network. So the need to reduce the energy consumption for improving the network lifetime. As cluster head is aggregator node of the cluster it can take part in communication many times while communication is going on in the cluster members. That's the reason that the energy utilization of the cluster head is high as compared with the cluster members present in the cluster. The present system has a way to choose the cluster head unplanned due to its high level of energy consumption. To answer this problem we introduced a system represents a technique in that effective cluster head is chosen based on the distance from the base station as well as remaining energy. After selecting the cluster head, it makes use of minor amount of energy of sensor network as well as helps to improve the lifetime of the network of sensor network. Aggregation of the data received from the cluster members is duty of cluster head in the cluster. Verification of data is done by the cluster head prior to the data aggregation if data received is not valid then received data is discarded. Only verified data is taken for aggregation at cluster head. Encryption is done by making use of homomorphic encryption method as well as encrypted information send to the cluster head and information decryption is performed by base station (BS) for giving end to end security. An ID based signature technique is developed for hop by hop authentication. In this paper, we present the method for recovering the data which is lost due to the buffer overflow. In given system cache memory is provided by the cluster head for recovery of data loss.
