A passive hybrid energy dissipation system (PHEDS) consists of rate dependent devices inseries with rate independent devices, is installed in Steel moment resisting frame (SMRF) toimprove energy dissipation capacity while any seismic event. Analytical development ofmodel in SAP 2000 and performance based design of energy dissipating devices (EDD), werethe basic objectives of the study. High damping rubber damper (HDRD) is a rate dependentdevice whereas elastic springs and buckling restrained braces (BRB) are rate independentdevices. The analytical models confirmed the expected phased behavior and energydissipation capabilities. An incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) was carried out to comparethe effect of energy dissipating devices on overall seismic response of SMRF, a dual BRBSMRFsystem, and a dual PHEDS-SMRF system. The results demonstrate that the PHEDShas potential as an energy dissipation system and improve the performance of the structureduring a seismic event.

Development and analysis of passive energy dissipation system for steel moment resisting frame

Rotor unbalance and shaft misalignment are major concerns in rotating machinery. In order to understand the dynamic characteristics of these machinery faults a model of complete motor flexible coupling rotor system capable of describing these failures was developed. Unbalance is the most cause of machine vibration, an unbalanced rotor always cause more vibration and generates excessive force in the bearing area and reduces the life of the machine. Experimental studies were performed on a rotor to predict the unbalance in rotor. The vibrations were measured at different speeds using FFT [Fast Fourier Transform], detection of the various effects of vibration signature such as unbalance, misalignment, and crack that may lead to downtime. Vibration analysis therefore helps in monitoring the health of a rotating component. Vibration signature also helps to alert equipment operators of engine health condition. It could be useful to prevent the breakdown [resonance].

A Review on Water Quality Monitoring System

Oil pipeline wax deposition is one of the major problems facing in the crude oil transportation flow line from the offshore to onshore through pipe. The wax deposition occurs because of the crude oil fluids temperature is decrease during the transportation process and cause solidification of wax components. Wax deposition in oil and gas production is one of the major flow assurance challenges the industry faces today. Wax deposition is mostly a temperature driven process which means that subsea pipelines are especially vulnerable. Wax precipitates from oil when it is cooled and the wax may deposit on pipeline walls. Wall deposits can lead to severe problems and need to be removed in an efficient way. It is difficult to perform accurate deposition measurements on real pipelines. The present study intends to use MATLAB simulator to predict wax deposited in a onshore pipeline using MATZAIN model. It provides idea of how wax is being deposited in pipeline and also suitable suggestions are also provided.

Prediction of Wax Deposition in pipelines using MATLAB Simulator: Case study of ABC field pipeline

Positive clutches used to transmit power between coincident shafts. The positive Engagement between clutch element ensure 100% torque transmission but occasionally the output shaft may be subjected to sudden overload which May make driving motor or engine to stall, which will lead to burn out electric Motor. In extreme cases this overload will lead to breakage of drive elements or clutch itself. In order to avoid this damage, it is needed that the input and output shafts be disconnected in case of sudden overload. Torque limiter is overload safety devices which provide the reliable overload protection. Torque limiter is tamper proof. Generally whenever overload occurs in any shaft drive mechanism there is failure of following components possible-1)Shaft / Coupling / Belt Drive 2) Machine shaft 3) Motor (Burning of electrical motor) Due to OverloadingIn any case this damage leads to Replacements of machine parts and Ultimately Replacement cost increases. To overcome all this problem available in machine element, Torque limiter will help us to avoid this damage.

Review on overload torque limiter with electromechanical clutch for timer belt spindle drive

Agricultural products are the primary need for every country. If plants are infected by diseases, this impacts the country's agricultural production and its economic resources. This paper presents a system that is used to classify and detect plant leaf diseases using deep learning techniques. The used images were obtained from (Plant Village dataset) website. In our work, we have taken specific types of plants; include tomatoes, pepper, and potatoes, as they are the most common types of plants in the world and in Iraq in particular. This Data Set contains 20636 images of plants and their diseases. In our proposed system, we used the convolutional neural network (CNN), through which plant leaf diseases are classified, 15 classes were classified, including 12 classes for diseases of different plants that were detected, such as bacteria, fungi, etc., and 3 classes for healthy leaves. As a result, we obtained excellent accuracy in training and testing, we have got an accuracy of (98.29%) for training, and (98.029%) for testing for all data set that were used.

Many of Cloud Service Providers (CSP) do nothave proper mechanism for preserving volatile memory data. At most they could do is storing the VirtualMachine (VM) instance. But what if the client (tenant) performs some malicious activity and then ends hissubscription? In such case all of his data will be lost. So we propose a mechanism to store volatile data in adedicated common persistent storage which will provide help during Cloud forensic investigation.
