A survey on keylogger: A malicious attack

With the popularization of digital cameras and therapid development of the Internet, number of images and videostaken and its broadcasting is growing explosively. The aestheticsevaluation of video media can be used as useful clue to improveuser satisfaction in many applications like search; broadcastingand recommendation. To automatically assess the quality ofvideos with a strong correlation with human perception is achallenging task. There are two different challenges that exist inthis task: First one is, there is no any publically benchmarkeddatasets available till date and second one is lack of standard videoshooting techniques.

Classification of video media: The aesthetics way

Palm print is a unique and reliable biometric characteristic with high usability. With the increasing demand of highly accurate and robust palm print authentication system, multispectral imaging has been employed to acquire more discriminative information and increase the anti spoof capability of palm print. The experimentation for this project is done using PolyU palm print Database. Palm print images were collected from 250volunteers, including 195 males and 55 females. The palm print features are extracted using stockwell transform. Some of the significant results have accuracy of 99% and precision 91%.

Palm print based person identification

The texture which is in motion is known as Dynamic texture. As the texture can change in shape and direction over time, Segmentation of Dynamic Texture is a challenging task. Furthermore, features of Dynamic texture like spatial (i.e., appearance) and temporal (i.e., motion) may differ from each other. However, studies are mostly limited to characterization of single dynamic textures in the current literature. In this paper, the segmentation problem of image sequences consisting of cluttered dynamic textures is addressed. For the segmentation of dynamic texture, two local texture descriptor based techniques and Lucas-Kanade optical flow technique are combined together to achieve accurate segmentation. Two texture descriptor based techniques are Local binary pattern and Weber local descriptor. These descriptors are used in spatial as well as in temporal domain and it helps to segment a frame of video into distinct regions based on the histogram of the region. Lucas-Kanade based optical flow technique is used in temporal domain, which determines direction of motion of dynamic texture in a sequence. These three features are computed for every section of individual frame and equivalent histograms are obtained. These histograms are concatenated and compared with suitable threshold to obtain segmentation of dynamic texture. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.

Dynamic texture segmentation using texture descriptors and optical flow techniques

Scheffler fixed focus concentrators are used for medium temperature applications. These concentrators are lateral sections of paraboloids and provide fixed focus away from the path of incident beam radiations throughout the year. In this paper design of a Scheffler Solar Concentrator system and it’s thermal characterisation is presented. In the second part of the papar thermal characterization of a flat plate collector is presented which was done under identical conditions as the scheffler concentrator. In case of flat plate collector efficiency is high in the low temperature region (500C to 800C) while that of point focus concentrator was found to be low and in subsequent temperature range (800C to 1500C) it increases and remains stable almost throughout the range. By super imposition of two performance curves, system of flat plate with scheffler may give a stable higher efficiency throughout the range of low to medium temperature range (500C to 1500C)

Performance Characterization of Scheffler solar concentrator and primary feasibility assessment of performance improvement using combined system of Scheffler with flat plate concentrator

Direct Charge Transfer Switched Capacitor (DCT-SC) DAC is the internal DAC used in Delta-Sigma (ΔΣ) DAC which works on Over-Sampling concept. The Switched Capacitor DAC mainly suffers from mismatch among capacitors. Mismatch among capacitors in DAC, causes nonlinearity between output and input. Dynamic Element Matching (DEM) technique is used to match the capacitors. According to element selection logic there are many types. In this paper Data Weighted Averaging (DWA) technique is used for mismatch shaping. In this paper the 4 bit DCT-SC-DAC with DWA-DEM technique is implemented using WINSPICE simulation software in 180nm CMOS technology. DNL for DAC with DWA is ±0.03 LSB and INL is ± 0.02LSB. © 2015 IEEE.

Implementation of 4-bit Direct Charge Transfer Switched Capacitor DAC with mismatch shaping technique

Auditory-Based Transform (AT) is a function based on the impulse response of the basilar membrane in the cochlea. As the human auditory system utilizes the time and frequency localization of audio signals, AT can be the best suited algorithm for speech enhancement that is for reduction of noise in speech signal processing. The present paper deals with the implementation and comparison of Auditory Transform with two other algorithms:-Spectral subtraction and Wiener filter. Evaluation of intelligibility and comparison among the three algorithms has been done based on a recently proposed objective parameter, Normalized Covariance Measure, along with PSNR and Spectrogram. © 2015 IEEE.

Speech enhancement using auditory-based transform

Weather monitoring has become a quintessential aspect in a variety of fields. Often the challenge lies in fetching accurate information from the site. Having weather information regarding just a particular city isn't sufficient as the weather changes are brisk. In a large city, weather conditions vary from region-to-region. Zone-specific information is needed during such scenarios. Crowdsourcing can be largely influential in such cases. By acquiring resources from a group of service providers, it can aid in the easy retrieval of weather parameters. The most significant players in this approach are the Telecom Service Providers, who have a pool of infrastructure in the form of towers and grids. This infrastructure can be coupled with wireless weather stations to provide real-time weather data. In this paper, we propose a weather monitoring system which is a confluence of embedded systems, crowdsourcing and telecom infrastructure. © 2015 IEEE.

Zone specific weather monitoring system using crowdsourcing and telecom infrastructure

Understanding the user and his interests is one of the major research areas towards understanding the web today. Many systems and approaches have been proposed in literature, to try and get information about the user's interests by user profiling. Various interest indicators have also been proposed in literature that helped in giving the relevant information about the user and his interests. Having the maximum number of interest indicators and ordering them according to their preferences will make a difference in providing the more relevant information to the user. In this paper we give the relative ordering of various user interest indicators that will help us to build the user profile implicitly which will help in recommending relevant information to the user with high accuracy and confidence. © 2015 IEEE.

Capturing, understanding and interpreting user interactions with the browser as implicit interest indicators

Wireless sensor Networks have many promising applications for monitoring and store critical region information, such as military surveillance and tracking endangers target. Therefore it is necessary to provide wireless sensor network not only with the acceptable reliability of services but also provide adequate level of security. Protecting source location becomes important and also difficult to implement in case secure wireless sensor networks are gives their operating constraint. In existing solution defend the leakage information from a limited local adversary who can only monitor network traffic in small region, while the global adversary can monitor the large network traffic. We proposed, In Sensor networks use random walk path and generate fake packet to make hard for an adversary to trace real information in network. We have required setting time for a particular node for activating path on that time period to confuse for global adversary. We are deployed eavesdropping active and passive, malicious node, black-hole, gray-hole, faulty node in network simulation. In black hole, gray-hole attacks, compromised node drops all the packets forwarding through it. The simulation result shows that the schema improves the safety time, secure time compared to an existing method. We had analyzed the ability of our proposed scheme to withstand different attacks and demonstrate. Our main aim is to focus on safety time, security time as a major parameter. We can achieve comparable privacy protection, routing Load normalization, packet delivery ratio, throughput and end to end delay as a minor parameter. © 2015 IEEE.
