-In the new paradigm of Internet of Things (IoT), many objects will be on the network having capability of sensing, computing and communicating with each other directly or indirectly. The most important aspect of it is that, such network will be invisible but intelligent to complete the entire task through Internet. Utilization of such efficient ubiquitous network will have number of applications like in social, industrial, entertainment, health care etc. The efficient electricity management is the major need to be considered due to limited natural resource of energy generation. The major issue in not to generate the resource but to handle the generated resource efficiently. In this paper we have proposed the solution for electricity management through Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) in the IoT paradigm, where the sensing nodes deployed on the high electricity consumption devices will monitor the daily consumption and update it through smart device on the Internet for reference. Smart electric devices can be controlled to leave in dormant state when not needed. This will help to budget the need of electricity planning at a large scale automatically.

For real time digital video transmission, an innovative multi-layer design of wireless systems is needed, where information among layers is exchanged and parameters are jointly optimized for richer interfaces among the layers of the protocol stack. The growing prevalence of wireless calls for such design of wireless network to support Quality of Service (QoS). Accounting for the limited availability of radio resources, the above requirement can be met through the development of flexible or adaptable radio interfaces of multi-layer architecture. Specifically, based on the traffic analysis with QoS requirements jointly Application (APP), Media Access Control (MAC), Physical (PHY) layers can be designed to optimize the network performance. This architecture is developed in view of benefits and necessities of sharing information among different layers where parameters are jointly optimized. To this respect, this paper gives the proper relevance to resource management strategies such as coding efficiency, media access control and error control and proposes a block level model of multi-layer architecture of wireless network. © 2014 IEEE.

A Database Forensic Approach to Detect Tamper Using B+-Trees

Automatically verifying a person from a video frame or a digital image using computer application is known as a Face Recognition system. With changes in facial pose, face appearance changes drastically. Recognition of faces under pose variations is much more challenging. Now a day's recognizing human faces in unconstrained or wild environment is emerging as a critically important and technically challenging computer vision problem. Recently face recognition community is gradually shifting its focus on much more challenging unconstrained setting. A new unconstrained human face Database called as 'My unconstrained Database' has been developed in this paper. A model based approach is used and the Moment based feature extraction techniques (Hu's, Zernike and Legendre Moments) are implemented on three different face databases containing different poses of the faces. This paper proposes a modified method called 'Genetic Algorithm based Transfer Vectors' for generation of features of a frontal face from the features of different poses of image. Next, the generated frontal features are matched with the actual frontal features. Extracted feature are classified by three different methods: kNN classifier, LDA and Transform Vector with Distance Metric and finally Correct Recognition Rate is determined. © 2014 IEEE.

A framework for face classification under pose variations

Private Branch Exchange system is the hardware that is used to controls the phone lines and exchanges calls between the internal phone extensions within a private network. The major benefit of the Private Branch Exchange system is the availability of the variety of features and it uses standard voice over internet protocols to work over the internet. There are more companies providing Private Branch Exchange system in the current market. Testing a software product is a necessary to deliver a good product before it comes to the market. Test automation is used to reduce spending more time in testing rather than focusing on other things. We have developed a new automated framework to test the Private Branch Exchange system features involving Session Initiation Protocol stations and provide multiple ready-to-use suites of several hundreds of test cases to reduce the developer's time spend in testing. we have focused on not only generating test cases for test automation but also to reduce a test execution time of test cases by running multiple execution of test cases at a time and providing rich user interface for the developer to test the Private Branch Exchange features. We are using proprietary tool to test the features of Private Branch Exchange system by verifying the talk path between two endpoints and providing scalability so that they can start to execute more than one feature at a time. We implemented this framework and got an improved performance by reducing execution time of overall testing. © 2014 IEEE.

Designing an automation framework to improve the performance of SIP based test suites in PBX feature testing

Fly ash cenospheres are inexpensive, readily available from coal burning or heavy oil combustion, not an eco-friendly material. If ways can be found to use this, it will serve the twin purposes of facilitating applications for the ash bearing materials and at the same time reduce pollution. One way to achieve this task is to make ash-bearing composites having polymer matrices. The performance of filled polymers is generally determined on the basis of the interface attraction of filler and polymers. Fillers of widely varying particle size and surface characteristics are responsive to the interfacial interactions with the polymers. The present study deals with the effect of particle size (150 mesh, 100 mesh, and 300 mesh) variations in fly ash cenospheres, as a filler with different concentrations (0-40 wt%), on various properties of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene. The mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties of the composite material were evaluated, and the microstructure was investigated through scanning electron microscopy. The smaller particle size showed better properties in comparison with larger particle size. As increasing filler loading, the saturation level is influenced by the agglomeration of filler particles in the polymer matrix. Thus, the performance of polymer filled with fly ash cenosphere composites is the function of the particle size, the dispersion, and the interfacial interaction between the filler particles and the polymer matrix. © The Author(s) 2012.
