Image segmentation plays vital role in computer vision for image retrieval, visual summary, image base modeling, and for many other purposes. Despite many years of research and significant contributions, image segmentation is still a very challenging task to suit for variety of applications. Among the different segmentation approaches, graph theoretical approach is the most popular since it has capabilities of organizing the image elements into accurate mathematical structures and makes the formulation computationally efficient This paper critically reviews recent graph based segmentation methods along with their detailed analysis, experimental performance and evaluation on the basis of Berkeley benchmark The study and evaluation is useful in improving the performance of existing methods as well as helpful in the development of new methods. © 2014 IEEE.

Evaluation and performance analysis of graph theoretical methods for image segmentation

In recent years, there has been a tremendous growth in the web and its usage, so much so that today many users find it difficult to get information that is relevant to them. This implies that there is a need to prioritize and try to get the information which the user is interested in. The behavior of the user is dynamic which makes it difficult to track his current interests and changes in his interests. If the user's interests are asked explicitly, most users tend to either ignore giving information or fill in wrong/incomplete information. Implicit user interested identification thus becomes imperative, which will not hamper his day-to-day web usage but the system learns about the users interests automatically, unobtrusively. This paper summarizes work done in the area of identifying user's interests implicitly through the actions performed by the user through his browser, while using the web. It also proposes measures to improve the efficiency of such systems by using a combinatorial approach.

The prior communication between the mobile nodes(beacons)in the network is not possible in some situations. As the network topologies and the network traffic conditions vary, the optimum position of the neighbor node should be determined. Localization is one of the fundamental problems in wireless adhoc networks, since locations of the mobile nodes are critical to both network operations and most application level tasks. Localization accuracy and reduction in the number of position information messages can be achieved, in real-time, by determining the optimal position from where the beacon should transmit its next position information. The RREQ sent by the sender is broadcasted leading to the flooding of the information messages. Directional Routing Protocol floods the RREQ packet in the network.We, first outline localized directional routing protocol to unicast the RREQ messages. For this an advisory can keep track of nodes using three hop concepts to find the shortest hop. We further present the pseudo formation control problem as an unconstrained optimization problem under free space propagation model.

Generally the gating system made of various materials such as wood and metal gate system which need to be considered, while manufacturing any casting it depends on size shape and weight of the application where it is to be utilized and the working conditions it has to resist such as the temperature and the various criteria's such as cooling of the molten metal , minimum defects so to reduce these defects it is important to work from initial working phase so that the rejections must as minimum as possible, sand casting is one of the oldest and largest method used for manufacturing of the casting so that castings are manufactured with lowest possible cost it consists of placing a pattern in the sand mold and producing an imprint in the sand and then a gating system is incorporated for filling the molten metal in the cavity allowing the uniform solidification of the molten metal if the solidification is not uniform the chills may be used in the region where solidification is not uniform for the defect free casting it is essential to have proper design of the gating system, if the gating system design is improper it can lead to rejections leading to heavy losses finally leading to shut down of the unit This review ex
