The term 'green IT' is defined as "Optimal use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for managing the environment sustainability of enterprise operations throughout their life cycles". Its objective is to create a positive impact on environment through net lowered emissions. The heart of green information technology (IT) is the concept of 'Environmental Sustainability', its initiatives are multifaceted to support enterprises 'business as usual model', in low-carbon economy. Many green IT initiatives have provided short-term financial benefits, based on which organisations are now focusing on increased energy efficiency. Since many of these approaches provide less financials benefits' which are harder to implement but provides improved environmental performance. So, the financials benefits and environmental performance should be the multiple objectives in the green IT study. In many geographic locations organisations need to pay for some carbon emissions. The soaring energy cost forces organisations to see energy as a costly resource. Data centres as IT resources are allocated to satisfy business needs. This research aims to align the business requirements with IT resource utilisation which can influence the resource efficiency of IT and reduces its environmental impact. Green IT: Sustainability by aligning business requirements with IT resource utilisation

In recent years, there has been a tremendous growth in the web and its usage, so much so that today many users find it difficult to get information that is relevant to them. This implies that there is a need to prioritize and try to get the information which the user is interested in. The behavior of the user is dynamic which makes it difficult to track his current interests and changes in his interests. If the user's interests are asked explicitly, most users tend to either ignore giving information or fill in wrong/incomplete information. Implicit user interested identification thus becomes imperative, which will not hamper his day-to-day web usage but the system learns about the users interests automatically, unobtrusively. This paper summarizes work done in the area of identifying user's interests implicitly through the actions performed by the user through his browser, while using the web. It also proposes measures to improve the efficiency of such systems by using a combinatorial approach.

Tracking rogue device in wireless Network System

The prior communication between the mobile nodes(beacons)in the network is not possible in some situations. As the network topologies and the network traffic conditions vary, the optimum position of the neighbor node should be determined. Localization is one of the fundamental problems in wireless adhoc networks, since locations of the mobile nodes are critical to both network operations and most application level tasks. Localization accuracy and reduction in the number of position information messages can be achieved, in real-time, by determining the optimal position from where the beacon should transmit its next position information. The RREQ sent by the sender is broadcasted leading to the flooding of the information messages. Directional Routing Protocol floods the RREQ packet in the network.We, first outline localized directional routing protocol to unicast the RREQ messages. For this an advisory can keep track of nodes using three hop concepts to find the shortest hop. We further present the pseudo formation control problem as an unconstrained optimization problem under free space propagation model.

With advances in sequencing technologies, large amounts of biological data is easily accessible for research. Advanced techniques to extract biologically relevant knowledge from this data have gained importance. In this paper, we discuss the computation based disease associations that infer human diseases. The biological knowledge of diseases dictates associations between diseases and biological molecules like genes, miRNAs and proteins as well as the associations between diseases and pathways and phenotypes. It is essential to model and represent this knowledge in a computational form with minimal loss of biological context. Based on biological assumptions and statistical analysis, samples of (disease) affected and normal individuals are compared to generate a hypothesis about the disease as depicted by disease associations. We survey computation based disease associations supported by internal interactions i.e interactions between various biological molecules as well as external interactions i.e interactions between the biological molecules and external factors like environment and drugs.
