Engineering educational institutes are growing in numbers in India in the recent years. Every institute has various laboratories and workshop which are equipped with variety of instruments, equipment and machineries for demonstration and conduction of practical for the students.The frequency of using any instruments or equipments is twice or thrice in a year. For the remaining duration the equipment is in idle condition. Due to this, there is lack of proper maintenance which results in the failure of equipment when it is to be used. To overcome this difficulty, we are developing some appropriate maintenance framework which will keep the equipment in proper working conditions whenever required. Total productive maintenance (TPM) is a tool which is very useful in these conditions.In this paper we have proposed some laboratorial preventive maintenance activities which will helpful to keep the laboratories in well condition.

Development of Framework for Effective Implementation of Tpm in Engineering Education Institute

Purpose – This study attempts to investigate customer experience with respect to the bancassurance channel. Design/Methodology/Approach – The study is based on primary data collected using a structured questionnaire from customers buying life insurance policies from SBI Life through different branches of State Bank of India in the city of Guwahati in the state of Assam, India. Cronbach's alpha was used to test the reliability of the questionnaire. Statistical tools, such as mean, standard deviation and factor analysis were used to attain the objective of the study.

Volatitlity of stock market during the time of Indian Union Budget: An Emperical Evidence

Introduction: In case of internal disasters, such as fire in hos-pitals, health services to the community are severely hampered with the additional morbidity of victims, such as employees and visitors present when the disaster strikes. Risk assessment and fire preparedness are most crucial proactive measures to prevent fire disasters and minimize the loss in a hospital; however, scanty studies are available on this topic. Materials and methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted at a multispecialty hospital in Mumbai, Maharashtra (India), during March–April 2014. Fire-Safety Preparedness Framework (FSPF) was designed with four domains (risk and vulnerability assessment, response mechanisms and strate-gies, preparedness plan and information management) for evaluation of fire safety preparedness of hospital employees. Baseline variables were summarized; instrument was tested for reliability using Cronbach's alpha and content validity through review by experts. The number of correct responses for each question was further analyzed across the type of employee. Results: The instrument showed high reliability (Cronbach's alpha = 0.89, p-value ≤ 0.01) and content validity. A total of 207 employees (mean age 32 ± 8.3 years, 63% females) consented and participated in the study. Out of 20 questions, awareness was high (≥ 90%) only for three questions from " Response mechanism and strategies " domain. For the remain-ing questions, awareness was moderate to low. The awareness varied highly with the type of employee. Conclusion: The FSPF is a reliable tool for application in the Indian context for hospital employees. Disaster preparedness training and drill need to involve employees from all depart-ments as awareness levels varied highly with type of employee.

How Prepared are Hospital Employees for Internal Fire Disasters? A Study of an Indian Hospital

India's mutual fund market has witnessed phenomenal growth over the last decade. The consistency in the performance of mutual funds has been a major factor that has attracted many investors. The present research is an attempt to study comparative performance of selected mutual funds. The study focus on selected mutual fund schemes of selected Indian companies comprising Equity Schemes. The total 17 sector equity mutual funds are selected for the study. The performance of selected mutual funds is analyzed with the help of Return, risk (standard Deviation) and Sharpe ratio. The average annual return for the sector equity mutual fund is 31.06 percent for the selected mutual funds. The average annual return is highest at 45.68 percent for ICICI Prudential Technology Fund - Regular Plan whereas average annual return is lowest at 17.02 percent for Kotak PSU Bank ETF. The average standard deviation is 43.70 for the sector equity mutual fund. The standard deviation is highest at 59.64 for Franklin Infotech Fund whereas standard deviation is lowest at 22.56 for ICICI Prudential FMCG Fund - Regular Plan for the period 2009-14.The Sharpe ratio signifying the performance of mutual fund is highest at 1.088 for SBI FMCG Fund whereas it is lowest at 0.199 for Kotak PSU Bank ETF for the period 2009-14.The average Sharpe ratio 0.59 for the sector equity mutual funds of selected Indian companies. Thus it is concluded that some sector equity mutual funds have performed better than others and generated better returns for the investors during 2009-10 to 2013-14. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Comparative Study of Selected Sector Equity Mutual Funds.

In the constant change the need of e-Governance in India has steadily evolved from computerization of Government Departments to initiatives that encapsulate the finer points of Governance, such as citizen centricity, service orientation and transparency. This paper discusses the factors of prospects of e-governance for effective e-governance framework through ICT. This has understood by taking perception and mindset of modern citizens from Maharashtra State of India The research design used to carry out this research was descriptive in nature where in structured questionnaire was administered and collected 256 responses from various region of Maharashtra state. The results of the study showed that the prospects of e-governance and level of importance for effective e-governance framework through the use of ICT does not vary region wise, as per educational qualification and gender. This research would be useful in framing Policy for creating pace for delivering services to the citizens and promote good e-governance in Maharashtra state.

Therefore impact of turnover has received considerable attentionby senior management, professionals and industrial psychologists. This research paper focus on the different factors that are responsible for the labor turnover in an automobile industry. It also focus on the different major to be consider in order to reduce these problem from all the different sector of the industry.
