Moisture Sensor Using Microstrip Patch Antenna

With an increase in defined carrier frequency for the 5G new radio system, the need for synchronization also increases. The transceiver loses synchronization due to the occurrence of timing and carrier frequency offsets. Carrier frequency offsets often occur due to mismatch between transmitter and receiver oscillator frequency as well as the occurrence of doppler shifts due to transmitter/receiver movements. When frequency offsets exceed subcarrier spacing, integer frequency offset occurs that results in performance loss due to subcarrier indices shifts. Conventional approach i.e. maximum likelihood and sequential method is already employed to estimate integer frequency offset and to detect sector id. In this paper, the deep learning-based method is demonstrated to estimate the integer frequency offset and sector id detection. The neural network containing multiple convolution layers with activation layers is used to find the optimum received signal. Then, by calculating the number of cyclic shifts in the optimum received signal, the integer frequency offset is estimated. Using the corrected optimum received signal, the primary synchronization signal is also detected that gives sector id. This proposed estimator is tested for different profiles of tapped delay line models with different desired delay spread and compared with conventional methods i.e. maximum likelihood estimation method and sequential estimation method. Simulation results show that the proposed Neural Network based estimator outperforms in all delay profiles.

A Neural Network based Integer Frequency Offset Estimation and PSS Detection in 5G NR Systems

In recent years, overcrowded unlicensed spectrum is devastating spectral efficiency of communications in regional and rural broadband wireless networks. Cognitive radio allows opportunistic use of a licensed spectrum without interfering with primary users (PU) which overcome the scarcity problem of the available spectrum. The occurrence of carrier frequency offset (CFO) degrades the performance of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). OFDM fulfills the requirements of cognitive radio, and hence OFDM is an appropriate choice for cognitive radio. When OFDM is used for cognitive radio applications, sensitivity to frequency offset remains an issue. This paper surveys various techniques present to estimate carrier frequency offset for OFDM cognitive radio. It covers required parameters to estimate, i.e., training symbols, estimation range, and complexity. This paper also presents simulation results that show extended estimation range of the frequency offset at good performance in the presence of narrowband interference. This method uses correlation among L identical parts of the training symbol at the receiver side to estimate the frequency offset. An Improved Carrier Frequency Offset Estimation Under Narrowband Interference in OFDM Cognitive Radio

Determining moisture content correctly in different materials or grains is the need of various industries today. Various techniques are suggested in the literature for sensing moisture contents of different materials. Horn antenna and microstrip antenna are the most commonly used antennas for finding moisture content, because of the noncontact type of measurement of moisture present in the sample. The microwave measuring technique offers a very exact and reliable measurement of the concentration of moisture. In the proposed system microstrip patch antenna at 900 MHz resonant frequency is designed and different materials like sodium carbonate, borax, potassium chloride, and lactose are tested for moisture content. For the fixed quantity of the sample, water content is gradually increased and return loss is measured. It is observed that with the increase in moisture content, return loss decreases. © 2019 IEEE.

Hence it is importantto manage stress levels. To monitor these stress levels we haveformulated a device which will monitor the heart rate, thegalvanic skin response and the body temperature of the person.

This research is to design an automated electric meter reading and billing system. It will replace humanworking system for taking reading. It will be helpful in knowing the daily electricity usage. The Buyer needs to pay for the usage ofelectricity on schedule, in case that he couldn‟t pay, the electricity transmission can be turned off autonomously fromthe distant server. IoT Based Electric Energy Meter

Now-a-days we are expected to achieve a lot more in a limited amount of time. Thus our project aims to help by using HomeAutomation System which can be controlled via voice. We will be using Jasper software for voice recognition. The software will recognize thevoice command given at the microphone and will generate according data. The pi will use this data in the code to produce according output.Thus the various devices will be controlled through voice. Also in addition we have designed a code which will automatically switchon/off the devices according to schedule of the user.

The main focus is on using radio frequencyidentification technology for collecting toll taxes. The proposedRFID system uses active tags (registered cards) that aremounted on the windshields of vehicles, through whichinformation embedded on the tags are read by RFID readers.Data information (toll debts, balance etc) are also easilyexchanged between the motorists and toll authorities, therebyenabling a more efficient toll collection by reducing traffic andeliminating possible human errors. When vehicle is stolen theowner complains with its registered card number and thevehicle is blacklisted in the database to be able to identify by thee-toll system.

Electronic Toll Tax Collection and Security System

Sensitivity to Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO) is a well known issue in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). The recent wireless standards, which propose OFDM as modulation technique, prefer to use it with Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC). Inter carrier interference (ICI) created by CFO disturbs the selection of modulation order and channel coding rate in AMC. Effect of CFO on OFDM with AMC is studied in this work. The survey of Fractional CFO (FCFO) estimation techniques is presented in this paper. The optimalbut complex to implement method for CFO estimation-the ML estimation is applied to OFDM with AMC. Efforts are made to reduce its complexity while actual implementation. Performance comparison of original and reduced complexity methods are presented based on accuracy and complexity. © 2013 IEEE.
