Smart Travel Scheduler: An Expert System for Tourists

A circularly polarized (CP) 4 × 4 MIMO antenna with low mutual coupling is proposed to operate at 2.4 GHz WLAN band (IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ax) applications. The proposed design consists of four CP pentagonal microstrip elements with suspended substrate and five loaded slits to obtain the high gain and required impedance bandwidth. The CP elements are orthogonally arranged with diagonal element has same CP to reduce mutual coupling among the elements. The proposed MIMO antenna exhibits impedance bandwidth 170 MHz, a peak gain 7.95 dBd, and axial ratio ≤3 dB. More than 30 dB isolation is achieved between two elements. The MIMO antenna performance in terms of diversity gain (DG), efficiency, and envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) has been reported.

Analysis and fabrication of Automatic Four-way Hacksaw Machine

The last few decades have shown a dramatic increase in the number of man-made disaster activities resulting in extensive life loss and structural failures. The explosive devices used in these heinous acts result in blast wave loading. Therefore, the present structural engineers require comprehensive expertise to analyze and design blast-resistant structures. The present study aims to develop blast load time history based on the previous research works and demonstrates the effectiveness of base isolation technique such as lead rubber bearings in mitigating the structural responses under the effect of blast loading. Two base-isolated building models systems are analyzed to examine the role of structural control strategies subjected to blast loading. Various isolation parameters are also incorporated in the present investigation in improving the structural performance subjected to this extreme dynamic loading. The study concludes that base isolation is an efficient technique in reducing structural output parameters such as peak storey displacement, storey drift and root mean square absolute acceleration values due to post-blast effects. Energy-based equations are also examined in the study to evaluate the hysteretic energy dissipated by the system subjected to blast loading.

Positive-Phase Blast Effects on Base-Isolated Structures

Smart glasses are designed for all kinds of applications and can be employed in industrial applications, medical and healthcare, consumer, logistics, security, and government, etc. In practice, blind people identify objects or find out walk able paths using a white cane. In spite of a variety of such canes (long cane, guide cane, support cane) available, it doesn’t recognize what the actual object is. The guiding sticks give an idea about the objects that lie only in a limited area. Having a camera vision with the support of audio messages for the visually impaired ones gives them a better and more precise sense of their surroundings, especially in an outdoor environment. However, because of the high cost of such devices, the dependency of blind people on common people is consistent. This paper provides a new design of Smart glasses, that the user can wear as normal glasses. These devices are optical head-mounted devices that integrate camera and allow hands-free operations. The fundamental objective of smart glasses for people with normal vision is to blend human vision with the virtual world, producing a kind of ubiquitous computing. But, using this design, the camera placed on the device obtains the video equivalent to the point of view which will be processed for assisting the visually impaired user. There is no need for the user to hold the device in his hands or move it in the necessary position and the vision of the user is not occluded. It will provide a field of view up to 120 degrees.

Low Budget Smart Glasses for Visually Impaired People

Retinal diseases like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, stargardt’s disease, retinopathy of prematurity that can lead to blindness manifest as artifacts in the retinal image. The term Diabetic retinopathy is the serious issue that is caused by the diabetes, which affects the eyes and results in blindness. It’s due to damage of the arteries and veins that are present in the fundus of the eye (retina) that is the origin of light sensitive tissues. Although DR can be prevalent now days, its prevention remains challenging. Visual analysis of the funds and consideration of color photographs Ophthalmologists directly examine the existence and severity of DR. This process is expensive as well as time consuming as there are huge number of diabetes patients worldwide. The automatic DR system is expanded to predict various related diseases that are analyzed.

Detection of Retinal Blood Vessels for Disease Prediction using Machine Learning

Extensive use of data and increasing sales by implementing recommender system by various retail and e-commerce companies through their website is tremendously boosted in current scenario. Recommendation systems is a software application that provide suggestions to the intended user regarding which products is buy and which is not to buy. This systems uses various filtering techniques to provide recommendations to the customers. Filtering techniques that helps in decision making of customers are most likely content-based filtering, CNN model filtering and hybrid filtering. In order to reduce information search time of user it is need to integrate the recommended facility in E-Commerce. Content-based filtering is used due to its suitability in the domain or in situations where the products are more than users. IDF Weighted word to vector model were used to determine whether a product is relevant or similar to a user's profile of interest. CNN model is used to find out image based similarities and both of this technologies integrated as a hybrid system and finally system give recommendation based on hybrid filtering system. This paper also gives an importance of an algorithm for providing recommendations or suggestions based on queries of users. Algorithms employ both IDF Weighted Word to vector model and CNN model. This review gives an overview of available data sets, methods for preprocessing data sets, recommendations techniques and challenges involved.

Cloud Computing has been increasing in popularity over the past couple of years. There has been extensive use ofvarious software’s and applications with the cloud platform acting as the backbone for these activities. As more andmore organizations and individuals make use of the Cloud platform, the data warehouses that support the platformare heavily strained. Therefore, these warehouses are staffed full of employees that handle the cloud, this leads tothe data of the cloud to be open to attackers and also the people working there. Therefore, the security of the dataon the cloud is imperative, to this end, this paper proposes a model for an attribute-based encryption technique inwhich the public and secret key are generated from the hash key based on the user profile’s personal attributes,randomly. The random characters are essential for the generation of the private and public keys. The reverse cipheralgorithm also increases the security of the model by enabling stronger encryption.

Wireless Sensor Networks consist of several low-cost,low-energy sensor nodes that sense data about their cor-responding environment and transfer it towards the desti-nation through a sink or coordinator node. As the WSNsare power-constrained, thus eﬃcient mechanisms should beincorporated for achieving energy conservation to increasethe overall network lifetime by minimizing the network load.Clustering can be applied to divide the network into clusterswith each cluster having a cluster head where data collec-tion is performed. In many cases, the temporal or spatialdata collected by the sensor nodes within the same clustermight provide redundant values and thus increase the over-all size of data packets to be sent towards the Cluster-head.Thus, there is a need to aggregate the data at the Cluster-head such that redundancy can be removed and data can becompressed with less number of packets to be transmittedwithin the network. We provide a survey of various aggrega-tion models incorporated with the help of Machine Learningtechniques and also propose a Priority-based Data Aggre-gation (PbDA) scheme using machine learning in WSN.
