In the present paper, passive control technique such as base isolation system is studied under earthquake ground motions and underground blast-induced vibrations. The performance of the lead rubber bearing (LRB), idealized as Bouc–Wen model in mitigating the structural responses of a five-storey building model, is investigated. The earthquake ground motions are selected from ground motion database available on the portal COSMOS Virtual Data Centre, whereas the underground blast is modeled as an exponential decaying function as prescribed by Carvalho and Battista (Proc Inst Civ Eng Struct Build 156(3):243–253, 2003). The aim of the study is to analyze the effect of isolation parameters such as damping ratio, yield strength, post-yield stiffness ratio and yield displacement on the structural responses of the base-isolated building. Newmark’s step-by-step integration method is adopted to evaluate the structural responses of the building. It is observed that the LRB is very effective in reducing the structural accelerations and storey drifts induced in the building due to ground-induced vibration. The comparison of results show that high value of yield strength harvests low bearing displacement and low percentage reduction in the top floor absolute acceleration. In addition, the study also evaluates the energy dissipated by the isolated structure. The energy dissipated by the base-isolated (LRB) building subjected to blast-induced vibrations, show that an optimum value of yield strength is found to be in the range of 10–20% of the total weight of the structure.

The Effect of LRB Parameters on Structural Responses for Blastand Seismic Loads

Neural network computational techniques are a new alternative to conventional numerical modeling. This paper presents modeling using response surface methodology (RSM). Box and Wilson Central Composite Design (CCD) is used for preparing experiment matrix. The independent parameters in the experiment are speed, feed, force and number of tool passes. These variables are controlled during the burnishing process. The response parameter is micro hardness. Experimental samples are prepared using Single Roller Burnishing Tools (Carbide). Vickers micro hardness tester is used to measure micro hardness. A quadratic mathematical model is developed using RSM. An Artificial neural network (ANN) model is developed using three-layer feed-forward back-propagation. The neural network model is trained using measured values of micro hardness. The different algorithms are used to train the model. Best performance is achieved with correlation coefficient 0.9. This study concludes that an artificial neural network is the best alternative to fit the nonlinear data.

Modeling the process parameters of roller burnishing using RSM and prediction of Microhardness using Artificial Neural Network

Now a days Wireless sensor networks are used for number of real time applications such as computation cost, memory utilization, and communication and energy resources. As the network consist of number of nodes, these nodes comprises of batteries. One of the main issue in WSN is that these batteries are not easily recharged or replaced. Moreover decreasing these energy reduction reduce the network lifetime, therefore increasing the network lifetime is an important issue in front of researcher. This paper proposes the clustering based routing protocol, in which sensor nodes are divided into number of clusters. Then a cluster head is selected from each cluster called as super cluster head. Data is sent to base station by super cluster head, which is selected among all cluster heads. For selection of Super cluster head (SCH) a fuzzy logic approach is used, which considers the factors such as the remaining battery power of modem mobility, route of base station etc. In the existing system, researcher does not focus on security of network. Hence in the proposed system we are securing data in the network by using ECC algorithm. Proposed system also detects the attack found in the network. Therefore it improves the network lifetime, providing security to the network.

INCREASING NETWORK LIFETIME USING PDR ANALYSIS AND FUZZY LOGIC IN WSN

Normally when user uploads any file that file is stored on single cloud service provider. From a customer’s point of view relying upon a solo Service Provider for his outsourced data is not very promising. In addition, providing better privacy as well as ensuring data availability, can be achieve by dividing the user’s data block into data pieces and distributing them among the available Service Providers in such a way that no less than a threshold number of Service Providers can take part in successful retrieval of the whole data block. In the proposed system a secured cost-effective multi-cloud storage (SCMCS) model in cloud computing which holds an economical distribution of data among the available Service Providers in the market, to provide customers with data availability as well as secure storage. Along with file storage on multiple clouds, here invention focusses on ‘Data Deduplication’ technique also. Deduplication is a method of removing duplicate files or data from the storage, and is used in cloud computing environment to minimize storage space as well as network bandwidth. In data deduplication single copy of file is stored in cloud environment, which is owned by a large number of data users which may leads to reduced reliability, availability and security. Along with deduplication, there is a major issue of security for sensitive data, when the data has been outsourced on the cloud. By addressing security challenges, we attempt to formalize the secure distributed deduplication system. Here we are proposing new distributed data deduplication system, which achieves more confidentiality, integrity and reliability, as compare to the traditional deduplication system. In the proposed system single data chunk or file is divided and distributed on the multiple cloud storage servers, in such a way that the single part of file is unpredictable. This is done by introducing a Shamir secret sharing scheme and hashing algorithms in distributed cloud storage system, without using traditional ways of encryption-decryption scheme. Also proposed system will be focusing on the recovery and reconstruction of corrupted data or failed storage site without using traditional backup or recovery methods as like RAID array method.

Smart Ration Distribution System

This paper describes the simulations for two test conditions. Empty room simulation and other one for to decidethe quantity of ventilation requirements needed to moderate the risk of flammability when leakage is present ofrefrigerants from large chillers inside rooms. Room size is 376 m³ is simulated using computational fluiddynamics. The chiller capacity is 2640 kW. Cooling solutions is carbon dioxide (CO2) natural refrigerant (R744) formachine room and for empty room R-290. The paper presents the required safety standards, and refrigerantconcentration sensor is involved to activate ventilation system for an emergency to dilute the refrigerantconcentration with fresh air. The results of the simulation data established ventilation standards needed formoderate the risks of refrigerant leakage inside given rooms

If someof uploaded files fragment data loss then we can get backup of our data from replica .We also introduced, If we want toacess any file in a a particular location and for a particular time then we can do it.from user, security key is stolen ordelete from a mail then user can revoke this security key from admin by request. Admin will accept the request andsend key on users mail so user can download the file.

Two Factor Data Security Protection Mechanism for Web Based Cloud Services

This paper mainly discusses an analysis at its very initial condition by taking into account the heat that has beentransferred from micro pin-fins. Under natural convection condition, a performance analysis of thermal propertiesof arrays of plate as well as pin type of micro-fins is experimentally carried out. The heating surface is kept samefor the comparative study of the plate and pin fins. The results show that the pin micro-fins can be preferred overplate micro-fins as they have better thermal properties like higher value for heat transfer coefficient and lower forthermal resistances, by incorporating minimum material. Thereby the total weight of the pin fin is reduced andimprovements in the thermal characteristics can be achieved. The upward facing and downward facing effect onthe thermal characteristics is also studied.

Performance evaluation of plate-fins and pin-fins under natural convection: A review

This paper presents an experimental study and determination of performance of a split-type inverter air conditioner basedon refrigeration cycle using ejector. Instead of conventional expansion device ejector recovers the expansion process lossby generating isentropic expansion process and also by increasing the cooling capacity and decreasing the powerconsumption. Hence the objective of proposed research is to replace the capillary tube with an optimized ejector and alsocompare the performance of R-22 with R-290. It is expected to considerably increase COP as well as reduce the emissionof greenhouse gases in the environment. Laws of conservation of mass, momentum and energy equation would be usedto determine the dimensions of ejector. With the use of ejector and R-290 the COP of an AC is expected to increase byabout 32.90% was claimed by K. Sumeru et al. [1].

A Review on R-290 in Split-type Inverter Air Conditioner using Ejector based Refrigeration Cycle

Stress affects individuals in many ways which areknown and unknown. A person undergoing stress is affected bothphysically and mentally. Stress is caused by stressors. Thesestressors can be internal or external stressors. Example ofexternal stressors are work load, fights with family members andmany more. Internal stressors can be classified as stress due tosickness such as menopause. Stress levels increase beyond acertain level may even lead to fatal diseases. Hence it is importantto manage stress levels. To monitor these stress levels we haveformulated a device which will monitor the heart rate, thegalvanic skin response and the body temperature of the person.
