Blockchain architecture is a promise of finality and non-repudiation. It has distinct advantages over the traditional client-server or distributed systems, which have made various organizations explore use cases where blockchain can be applied. This chapter explores the key nuances of the blockchain architecture. It begins with an overview of the hash functions, hashing and how it plays an important role in blockchain architecture. While blockchain is well known as a P2P architecture, the chapter explores other aspects of the blockchain architecture, which are responsible for the strength of the blockchain. The chapter presents a deep dive into the block structure, use of Merkle trees for transactions and the blockchain structure. The power of decentralization, the built-in redundancy in the blockchain architectures and how it helps establish a trustless system is explained. It presents the challenges of distributed consensus and how they are dealt with via various consensus algorithms in the blockchain architecture. The chapter ends with a sample use case discussion of Maintenance and Service Supply Chain over a permissioned blockchain architecture using Hyperledger framework.

The global seasonal change and continued rapid growth have maximized the need to assess the urban dwellers’ depend on vegetation for their lives, and also in the urban ecosystem resources. The conventional outcomes devoted to cropland mapping, with the help of high-quality remote sensing data’s. This paper is to investigate and develop a new methodology that pertains to time series analysis for classifying the type of vegetation in a farm area of Ujani Dam located in Solapur District, Maharastra. The proposed model develops a novel adaptive time-weighted dynamic time warping (ATWDTW) for the time series analysis using the satellite images. The gathered satellite images from the farm are processed initially and subjected to analysis by ATWDTW. The TWDTW concept is optimally tuned by the new hybrid meta-heuristic algorithm termed moth flame-based bird swarm optimization (MF-BSA) for enhancing the classification performance. Regarding the false omission rate of the proposed MF-BSA-ATWDTW model attains 5.56% and 29.9% lower than SVM and K-means respectively. From the analysis, it is possible to get a deep insight into the vegetation to be done in each year, and the comparative analysis proves that the proposed model is further adaptable for experimental use in relating and explaining environmental and ecological time-series information.

Development of Adaptive Time-Weighted Dynamic Time Warping for Time Series Vegetation Classification Using Satellite Images in Solapur District

Ocular disease is an eye disease that reduces the eye’s ability to work normally. Early ocular disease detection is important to avoid blindness caused by some of the diseases like cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), etc. Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques have been used to build systems for the speedy diagnosis of such diseases. In recent years, the deep neural network (DNN) has shown remarkable success in this area. But the black box nature of such systems has created questions on the use of DNN in a high-risk system like health care. Explainable AI (XAI) is a suite of methods and techniques that provides explanations of predictions made by AI systems. This helps to achieve accountability, transparency, and debugging of the model in the healthcare domain. In this paper, we have proposed to develop an ocular disease classification model and an XAI method that can be used to explain the classification of eye diseases, from eye fundus images.

Explainability of Deep Learning-Based System in Health Care

Automobiles are subjected to varied harmonic vibration loads that are generated by the engine at various RPM levels within the operating condition. Facing resonant frequencies of PCB within the operating frequency range can cause damage to PCB due to large amplitudes generated. To avoid the resonance situation, either external excitation frequency should be changed or natural frequency of the component. Normally, we do not have any control over external excitation frequency and hence the practical approach is to alter/change the natural frequency. Natural frequency according to the formula depends on the mass (inversely proportional) and stiffness (directly proportional). In practical situations, the natural frequency is altered by changing the stiffness rather than mass. This can be done by changing the boundary conditions (support), the addition of ribs/stiffeners, change in thickness of stiffeners, or by using stiffer material, etc. More accurate results can be observed by achieving convergence in meshing and accurate modelling of PCB. This paper demonstrates free flexural vibrations analysis of a stiffened PCB investigated by using finite element analysis (FEA). The PCB considered for analysis is inside the engine electronic control unit (ECU) of an automobile which is mounted near the engine. The reason to consider this PCB is that maximum vibrations are encountered here.

Modelling and Analysis of PCB Vibration

With increase in use of technology along with new inventions, consumption of energy required is increased in exponential manner. In recent development of communication infrastructure in smart grids, it leads to new issues in physical power system related to cyber security. In traditional ways to handle cyber-attacks on power system, it generally involves separation of cyber domain and physical domain. Therefore, it is very important to have unification of cyber and physical power system. So to handle these issues, cyber physical power system (CPPS) is introduced. The CPPS mainly consists of core physical power system tightly integrated with cyber system. The purpose of CPPS is to monitor and control the smart grids efficiently and reliably. CPPS consists of various phases such as power transmission, power generation, power distribution, utilization of power, supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA), and utilization of power. These phases in smart grids are prone to cyber-attacks so it is important to summarize, analyze, and monitor cyber-attack methods on CPPS for the defense against different cyber-attacks. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive review of different kinds of cyber-attacks on physical power system phases. Also, paper analyzes various scenarios of cyber-attacks on systems and equipment such as SCADA system, smart meters, and communication system. Finally, according to several characteristics of cyber-attack methods, some preventions and detection methods are presented.

Review of Cyber-Attacks on Smart Grid Systems

Fake news has become a significant problem in today's online world. Misinformation is easily propagated through online social media platforms. It is essential to curb the spread of fake news. Blockchain has provided a framework for tamperproof and traceable data, and can therefore be used for developing a news platform. Applying blockchain technology to news tracing has formed the groundwork for supressing the spread of fake news. However, the scale of online platforms and the characteristics of blockchain add several new challenges that hinder the real world deployment of such solutions. This study reviews various blockchain based methods that combat the spread of fake news on online platforms and discusses the challenges faced in realizing such solutions.

Blockchains to curb Fake News in an Online World

Blockchain is incredibly emerging technologies in today's world. Now a days major issue faced by educational system is regarding fake documents, certificates. There are so many cases registered for the duplication of documents and all those cases go unnoticed. In this blockchain based system information stored is immutable it means it cannot be manipulated. Even if some attacker tries to manipulate the information present in the blockchain then hash value of the block gets changed. So, for this attacker has to recalculate the hash for the all the blocks in network, which is next to impossible. Thus, documents storage in blockchain provides high level security for the same. In this paper we have included various existing approaches for document security using blockchain platform and its benefits and limitations are also included so that one can get proper idea to rework or enhance the existing work with more advance technique. Also, we have highlighted problem of document storage and security enhancement issue in blockchain network.

Techniques of Securing Educational Document using Blockchain and IPFS based System: A Review

Nowadays, dynamic hand gesture recognition has become a complicated work in the recognition of pattern and the communities with consideration of computer vision. This paper tempts to frame an algorithmic analysis on proposed “static and dynamic-oriented hand gesture recognition”. Moreover, the recognition of static and dynamic models is improved by Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) model. In the phase called pre-processing, “grey scale conversion and histogram equalization” is used, whereas, in segmentation, “Active Contour model, and canny edge detection” is employed. Moreover, the significant features are extracted depending on the “Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG), and Edge Oriented Histogram (EOH)”, and the feature dimension is reduced by Principle Component Analysis (PCA). The optimal feature selection technique is adopted by the novel “Deer Hunting-based Grey Wolf Optimization (DH-GWO)”. Moreover, the “significant frames in the video” are eliminated by the DTW pattern. Finally, the characters and words are exactly recognized by Neural Network (NN), using the DH-GWO training. Here, the analysis is carried out by varying the random number e from 0.5 to 3.0 of the proposed DH-GWO.

Algorithmic Analysis on Deer Hunting-based Grey Wolf for Dynamic Time Wrapping-based Hand Gesture Recognition

The point of this exploration work exhibits a classification technique for analyzing engineering student's employment opportunities. From the given 60 attributes, take 46 attributes as inputs. In view of this input data, we design the fuzzy logic system. This design is utilized for finding the employment opportunity potential score of particular individuals. Based on these 46 attributes, generate the rule as low and high. At that point, we need to take the count of low and high; after analyzing the count, find the output level (low, medium, high). In the outcome, three diverse membership functions such as trapezoidal, Gaussian and triangle have been designed. In this three-membership function, we explore diverse designing and validation points (50-50, 60-40, 70-30 and 80-20). The sensitivity value for the triangle is 76%, the specificity value for the triangle is 93%, and the accuracy value for a triangle is 89%. From this, the triangle membership function is enhanced contrasted with other membership functions.
