The nature of pharmaceutical marketing is unique and dynamic. This demands highly skilled sales representatives which are popularly known as Medical representatives. Companies spent considerable amount on training of their representatives. Pharmaceutical market is very competitive and more than 20000 companies operating in Indian Market. In this highly competitive market retaining salespeople has become highly challenging for pharmaceutical industry. The purpose of this study was to identify underlying reasons for quitting jobs among medical representatives. With more than 55 lakh population, more than 4000 doctors and 6000 chemists, Pune is one of the important sales territories for pharma industry in India. Subjects were selected from the city and surveyed. The study concluded that not only inadequate compensation but its late reimbursement also cause medical representatives to quit job. The Upside of Job Hopping Among Medical Representatives in India.

In the present study, degradation of petroleum industry wastewater has been investigated through laboratory experiments by employing heterogeneous photocatalytic process. A photocatalytic reactor was used for the advanced oxidation. The industrial wastewater was characterized. Photocatalytic activity of semiconductor such as titanium dioxide (TiO2) has been investigated. An attempt has been made to study the effect of process parameters through amount of catalyst, and operating pH on photocatalytic degradation of petroleum industry wastewater. The experiments were carried out by varying pH (2-11), amount of catalyst (0.25-1.5 g/L). Optimal suspended catalyst concentration, fluid pH and temperature were obtained at amounts of near 1 g/L, 3 and 50 °C, respectively. The maximum rate of degradation was observed in acidic medium at pH 3 and maximum reduction in chemical oxygen demand (COD) of 60%. © 2015 Scientific Publishers.

Treatment of petroleum industry wastewater using TiO2/UV photocatalytic process

'Live Energy-Live Life' is the green solution GS using crowd computing for the survival in future. Crowd computing is one of the upcoming research areas allowing the people around the world to work together in assistance with the machines and contribute for the best feasible solution. In near future, the rapid industrial revolution (IR) will extinct our lives; making the machines are bosses. The ever-increasing volume of data and its advance techniques, if not controlled and handled properly will result in the increase of energy consumption (EC) and e-wastes. The data centers are the main contributors for EC and thus, the environment is at risk due to the continuous emission of harmful carbon products. The proposed approach describes the importance of a new emerging technology known as crowd computing. It is an amalgamation of software and social interactions which provide cost saving benefits and ease of use for the ultimate user. The power of crowd computing dwells in utilizing humans' perception, and their innovation to solve non-Algorithmic problems. Here, a team of participants proactively work together to solve the real life problems that are tough to be resolved either by the individuals or computers alone. Crowd computing is a mass phenomena of Computer Assisted Cooperative Activity (CACA) community. The analysis of various fields of crowd computing has contributed to approximately 40-50% of energy savings and power savings, making it a crucial factor for the better survival of future-'GREEN SOLUTION (GS): A new initiative for Energy Efficient Computing where Humans and Machines work together.' GREEN SOLUTION (GS): A new initiative for Energy Efficient Computing where Humans and Machines work together

With the development of Internet technologies, digital media can be transmitted conveniently over the Internet. However, medical information transmissions over the Internet still have to face all kinds of problem such as network bandwidth, integrity of data, image quality and security. Normally Medical images are in DICOM (Digital Imagine in Communication and Medicine) format. The DICOM technology is suitable when sending images between different departments within hospitals or/and other hospitals, and consultant. However, the header file to DICOM image adds additional size to the image. We have proposed new techniques of transforming DICOM format in to BMP(Bitmap Image file) format and divide data into two parts and embedding a patient data in an image in odd, number memory location of image pixel values. Fix length Huffman compression is applied to get lossless compressed image. This investigation mainly focuses on computing the data hiding capacity, Compression Ratio, Mean Square Error (MSE) and Peak to Signal Noise Ratio (PSNR) of medical images. © 2015 IEEE.

DICOM image size reduction and data embedding using randomization technique

Cloud computing platform relies on principle of sharing of resources. VMware products and OpenStack are the cloud platforms being used extensively in the industry. Of which OpenStack is the new competitor, which provides support for hybrid cloud environment. We compare features of VMware products and OpenStack in this paper. Resources in cloud include computing resources, storage and network. These resources should be allocated and scheduled in a way that user should get the better performance as well as provider should achieve high resource utilizations. In this paper, we describe VMware Distribute Resource Scheduler and OpenStack nova-scheduler. © 2014 IEEE.

Comparing openstack and VMware

In recent days, skin cancer is seen as one of the most Hazardous form of the Cancers found in Humans. Skin cancer is found in various types such as Melanoma, Basal and Squamous cell Carcinoma among which Melanoma is the most unpredictable. The detection of Melanoma cancer in early stage can be helpful to cure it. Computer vision can play important role in Medical Image Diagnosis and it has been proved by many existing systems. In this paper, we present a computer aided method for the detection of Melanoma Skin Cancer using Image Processing tools. The input to the system is the skin lesion image and then by applying novel image processing techniques, it analyses it to conclude about the presence of skin cancer. The Lesion Image analysis tools checks for the various Melanoma parameters Like Asymmetry, Border, Colour, Diameter,(ABCD) etc. by texture, size and shape analysis for image segmentation and feature stages. The extracted feature parameters are used to classify the image as Normal skin and Melanoma cancer lesion. © 2015 The Authors.

An Approach to Cryptography using Nonlinear System of Equation

The concept changes in continuously evolving data streams are termed as concept drifts. It is required to address the problems caused due to concept drift and adapt according to the concept changes. This can be achieved by designing supervised or unsupervised techniques in such a way, that concept changes are considered, and useful knowledge is extracted. This paper discusses various techniques to manage concept drifts. The synthetic and real datasets with different concept drifts and the applications are discussed.

A review on concept drift

Image inpainting is an interesting new research topic in image processing, which can be used in many thrust areas, such as computer graphics, image editing, film postproduction, image restoration and special effects and the restoration of old Photographs and damaged film, removal of superimposed text like dates, subtitles, or publicity and the removal of entire objects from the image. In image inpainting, missing (target) regions were filled by structural and textural information of an image in a visually plausible way, also known as image restoration. Though this technique is very useful, it is still a challenging problem in computer vision and computer graphics. In this paper, an algorithm is proposed for removing target objects from digital images. An algorithm was proposed to synthesize the structure & texture as well as fill the hole that is left behind in an undetectable form. An attempt has been made to compute actual color values using exemplar based texture synthesis and region filling method. A number of examples on removing occluding objects from real and satellite images demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed algorithm in terms of both inpainting quality and computational efficacy.
