Bancassurance has evolved as a strong distribution channel in India. Bancassurance means that the insurance company and the bank come together to offer insurance products from the counter of the banks to the bank's customer. The present study attempts to analyse customers' perception regarding assurance of bancassurance channel in providing insurance-related services. The study also tries to find out the impact of various demographic variables on customers' perception regarding assurance of bancassurance channel. The study finds that customers consider bancassurance channel having high assurance in providing insurance services. It is also found in the study that there is no significant association between the demographic variables considered in the study and customers' perception regarding assurance of bancassurance channel.

The nature of pharmaceutical marketing is unique and dynamic. This demands highly skilled sales representatives which are popularly known as Medical representatives. Companies spent considerable amount on training of their representatives. Pharmaceutical market is very competitive and more than 20000 companies operating in Indian Market. In this highly competitive market retaining salespeople has become highly challenging for pharmaceutical industry. The purpose of this study was to identify underlying reasons for quitting jobs among medical representatives. With more than 55 lakh population, more than 4000 doctors and 6000 chemists, Pune is one of the important sales territories for pharma industry in India. Subjects were selected from the city and surveyed. The study concluded that not only inadequate compensation but its late reimbursement also cause medical representatives to quit job. Information technology and its role in India's economic development: A review

Hotels are the most important part of the tourism industry, which contribute to the sector by offering services and facilities of extremely high standards. Today, the hospitality industry is becoming more aware about the environment-friendly services. However, whether Indian consumers are aware about the green attributes offered by the hotel industry needed to be analyzed. The present study examined the Indian consumers' awareness, perceptions and choice of preferences for the green attributes of the hotel industry. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire distributed to 300 respondents in Jaipur city, Rajasthan. The results obtained by using tests like chi square, percentage mean method and one sample t - test showed that there is a significant association between awareness, perception and choice of preferences for the green attributes of the hotel industry. Based on the results, the findings and implications are also discussed in the paper.

The city of Pune has witnessed the emergence of business initiatives from minority communities like Muslims, Sikh, Sindhis, Marwardis, Jains and others who continue to display high rates of entrepreneurship. This chapter attempts to examine the driving factors influencing ethnic and religious entrepreneurship. Through empirical study the researchers intended to find out whether ethnic minority entrepreneurship depends on the socioeconomic and ethno-socio characteristics of the immigrant people. Ethnic minority's decision to enter entrepreneurship is generally influenced by different factors such as historical factors, market conditions, clusters, geographical factors, strong cultural factors etc. They choose entrepreneurship because of their cultural predictions toward self-employment in favor of working for someone else. The residential clustering of members of the same ethnic community in a neighborhood, known as an ethnic enclave, contributes to the creation of entrepreneurial opportunities. Ethnic enclaves create niche market opportunities for serving the local ethnic population motivating entrepreneur's to enter into new businesses. Main objective of this research is to study the various driving factors for entrepreneurship among the ethnic and religious minorities and to analyze whether ethnic minority entrepreneurship depends on the socioeconomic and ethno-socio characteristics of the immigrant people. An exploratory research design was adopted and data was collected from Pune region majorly from communities like Muslims, Sikh, Sindhis, Marwaris, Boharis etc. Random sampling method was used to select database. Responses were collected from 183 entrepreneurs.
