In major congenital heart ailments comes Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). Many techniques viz. ECG, MRI, Ultrasound etc., are in use to detect ASD. Performance of heart is analyzed by the Doctors through test results or observations of heart Ultrasound. In this research work it is proved that the disorder ASD is detected using the technique of block matching and optical flow. These algorithms enables the doctors or experts to detect ASD automatically and hence reduces the dependency on humans. This paper proposes a new Elongated Horizontal Large Diamond Search Pattern (EHLDSP) and Optical Flow algorithm for detection of ASD based on MV. Experimentation was carried out on A4C view of 2D Echo Cardiogram, collected form the hospitals as well as from open available database. Ground truth image is used by the cardiologist to compare the results. In this paper, performance of the proposed Elongated Horizontal Large Diamond Search Pattern (EHLDSP) method is compared with other techniques on the basis of cost functions like PSNR and computation complexity. EHLDSP algorithm is used to check the pixel movements and to calculate Motion Vector (MV), followed by the estimation of the displacement of blood cells from either right to left or vice versa. This will help in the reduction of dependency on specialized doctors or human factor can be reduced. For automatic detection of abnormality, research is going on in this area to make it fast and accurate. Proposed algorithm reduces the average computation by providing speed improvements of about 91% over FS/ES and about 6% over existing DS. Also, EHLDSP has shown improvements in the PSNR value in comparison with other methods.

Tracking of Blood Movement in the Heart using Elongated Horizontal Large Diamond Search Pattern and Optical Flow Technique for Enabling the Detection of Atrial Septal Defect

Owing to its high mobility and low sintering temperature, ZnO is a promising electron-transporting layer for flexible and tandem applications of perovskite solar cells. However, ZnO inevitably triggers the degradation of perovskite materials. Such degradation can be inhibited when ZnO films with improved stoichiometry and minimized defects are used. In this work, a high efficiency with substantial stability of ZnO-based perovskite solar cells is achieved using a high-working pressure sputtering technique. The high-working-pressure sputtering process can produce higher quality ZnO films with fewer surface defects compared with conventional sputtering or sol-gel ZnO solution processes. A power conversion efficiency of 17.3\% is recorded. In addition, the stability of these devices is significantly higher than that of the conventional ZnO-based perovskite solar cells. This work showcases that ZnO can be a good candidate for the electron-transporting layer in perovskite solar cells, particularly for flexible and tandem applications when the right sputtering conditions are used.

High-Working-Pressure Sputtering of ZnO for Stable and Efficient Perovskite Solar Cells

Composite materials have the capability of being customised to provide specific mechanical and tribological properties. This paper presents the manufacture of a novel composite of Al6061 with 5% SiC (50 μm size) by the stir casting method. Experimental investigations of mechanical and tribological properties of SiC reinforced Al6061 are discussed. Investigations with a Rockwell hardness tester revealed that this composite had enhanced hardness. Wear characteristics were investigated for Al6061 and the novel composite Al6061 + SiC with a Pin on disc tribometer for a load range of 5N-200N and RPM varying from 200 to 1500. The effect of crucial parameters such as load and RPM on the wear of the novel composite were presented with sensitivity analysis. The results obtained are encouraging, showing the novel composite having a lower wear rate.

This paper provides comparative study of Solid-state drives over Hard-disk drives. Also, implementation of algorithm to enhance the security of Solid-state drives in terms of user authentication, access control and media recovery from ATA security feature set. This algorithm fulfils security principles like Authentication and Data Integrity.

Development of Algorithm to Enhance the Security Feature of SATA on Solid State Drives

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are composed of a large number of sensor nodes that are deployed at target locations. Topology control (TC) is one of the significant fundamental challenges in WSNs because of node energy and computing power constraints. TC algorithms try to produce reduced topology by preserving network connectivity. This study presents a novel TC algorithm based on binary Grey wolf optimisation. It uses the active and inactive schedules of sensor nodes in binary format as well as introduces fitness function to minimise the number of active nodes (ANs) for achieving the target of lifetime expansion of the nodes and network. The proposed algorithm is compared with other TC algorithms. The result reduces a minimum of 10% of ANs and energy consumption by 6.84%. The proposed approach also gives maximum coverage and connectivity. The designed fitness function also benefits in the process of selecting a node with low residual energy to join the active topology. The standard deviation in the remaining energy for the proposed algorithms is lower than the other TC schemes.

Binary grey wolf optimisation-based topology control for WSNs

The article aims at presenting approach to evaluate the hard tissue material properties of Bovine bone. This study is important in case of designing orthopaedic procedures to be carried out on Bovine subjects. For eg.Braces or steel plate permanently fixes to the animal who have fracture to bone or crack bone. Braces or steel plates are fix to bone by screw. For checking stability of screw we need to know elastic properties of bone. This experimental study provides quantitative representation of orthotropic behaviour of Bovine femur bone. This study attempts at providing comprehensive values of mechanical properties of Bovidae femur, through series of mechanical tests like Elastic properties i.e., stress, strain, elastic modulus, poison's ratio and yielding point of bone. This is attempt to establish orthotropic nature of femur bone of goat and water buffalo using stiffness matrix approach The data of elastic constants, compliance and stiffness coefficients obtained can be used for finite element analysis to design the orthopaedic system for patient. The study represents the parameters like gender of specie, Bone Density, ductility of bone tissue.

Determination of Elastic Properties of Bovine Femur Bone Solid Mechanics Approach

Since last two decades, Wireless Sensor Network and Mobile Communication success rate is raised too high and demanding for overall communication network as it consists of heterogeneous wireless networks. These networks provides universal wireless access change, also provide dynamic scheduling between devices, networks and whole world for communication. It is applicable for prominently highly demanding domains like medical devices, sensors used for military applications, smart buildings, societies, and cities so on. At the same time new technological domain named IoT (Internet of Things) is making high impact on communication domain. It is an integration of several technologies. It is interchangeably can also be used as Wireless Sensor Network only the difference is that the IoT devices and networks has limited storage and computing capabilities and works on the internet. As IoT Ecosystem and WSN used for numerous Computation, Communication over the internet which ultimately increased network traffic and leads to congestion in the network which affects the Quality of Service (QoS) parameters of the network. In this paper, a novel method is proposed to handle the increased network traffic and Congestion network using the Krill Herd Aggregation Mechanism.

This application will use the internal camera ofthe smartphones that will start capturing the activity when theapplication starts. The application will run in the backgroundand will not be available in android launcher so that the one whohas stolen the device will never get to know that he has beencaptured along with his location.

Anti-Theft Hybrid Solution for Tracking &amp; Locating Mobile Devices with Data Security

Ultrasound waves due to their inherent small wavelength can be used in diagnosis or evaluation of tissue.Ultrasound simulations can be useful to investigate and analyzedifferent properties at different sites especially when there is novolumetric data available. In the proposed paper, simulation ofultrasound in a 2-D bone model and hardware implementationhas been presented. Due to complex structures of bone, a simplelinear model consisting of both cortical and cancellous bone hasbeen proposed. In the simulation, a broadband emitter withcenter frequency of 1 Megahertz is used along with an array ofreceivers to capture the signal. An attempt has been made tocalculate bone density parameters in-vivo for human feet, andfinally display the computed parameters onto a LCD usingArduino Uno Board. An algorithm involving fourier transformswas used to calculate Broadband Ultrasound Attenuation (BUA)and Speed of Sound (SoS) in Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB).

Measurement of Bone Density Parameters using Ultrasound and Hardware Development on bone density Measurement

The meaning of sustainability in today’s world varies from place to place, region to region and person to person. In such a scenario the absolute or standard parameters used by various sustainability rating systems cannot stand accurate in a geographically, climatically and socially diverse nation like India. In such cases some buildings which have considerably low impact on the environment are unable to get green rating certification due to the rigidity in existing rating systems. Also occupants in different regions have contrasting perceptions about the relative importance of various sustainability indicators. The opinion of local people with idea about sustainability can be the key in defining affective sustainability practices as and local people have the minutest knowledge about their surroundings and their needs. This article attempts to identify, blend and shortlist optimum sustainability indicators in Indian context by studying the existing popular rating systems (LEED, GRIHA and IGBC). It also aims towards ranking the relative importance of the 7 major domains of sustainability indicators with help of qualitative research methodology.
