The paper is related to removal of the ice accumulated on the wind turbine blade the nichrome coil is embedded in the wind turbine when the wind turbine blade is being manufactured. In the invention a super capacitor is used to give energy to the nichrome coil embedded in the wind turbine blade. The pulses are given after every one minute to the nichrome coil in the season of snowfall. Due to this the turbine blade is heated due to resistance heating. The temperature of the turbine blade is increased. The ice is melted. Even if the lower layer of the ice is melted the remaining ice is slipped below due to gravitational force. For this one revolution of the turbine is made. Precaution us taken that no humans or animals are standing below and in close vicinity of the wind turbine when the turbine is I deicing is being done. © 2017 IEEE.

Ice melting from wind turbine blades using resistive heating

In this paper the facility to find the impact of tower shadow effect on voltage flicker initiated in the wind turbine output is developed. Concentric towers are developed using steel any suitable material pipe. The length of the pipe can be adjusted using sliding the pipe. Nut and bolts are used to fix the length of the pipe. There is a provision to fix the turbine on the tower. Tubular tower are formed using pipes. Pipes with different diameters are provided in the test set up. As length and height of the towers is varied the tower shadow effect is also varied. Artificial wind is created using blower fans. The impact of tower shadow effect on the voltage flicker output of the wind turbine is observed on digital storage oscilloscope. There is a provision to fix various types of generators on the towers. The experiment is conducted on the wind turbine scaled down models. The result can be scaled to the actual dimensions of the wind tower. © 2017 IEEE.

Adjustable concentric towers to vary tower shadow effect on flicker in wind turbine

In this invention wind turbine is fabricated from the animal wool. Wool from sheep may be utilized. The wind turbine fabricated is light in weight. The wind turbine is fire resistant. The outer structure may be made from steel, aluminum or bamboo. The wool fabric is fixed on the bamboo frame with the help of nails and suitable glue. Suitable glue is applied on the wool to prevent air passing through the wool fabric. Suitable paint like plastic paint may also be applied on the wind turbine blades to reduce the effect of moisture and rain water on the blade. It may also be fixed with thread. The wind turbine thus made is coupled with electrical generator. When the wind turbine rotates electrical energy is generated. © 2017 IEEE.

Fabrication of wind turbine from sheep wool

The rapid development of automotive industry system has promoted a brand new revolution of vehicle design. In recent years, in-vehicle-infotainment(IVI) systems have quickly become one of the most valuable features auto makers have used to promote their flagship models as an advanced competitive marketing weapon. Owing to this, an innovative idea for a infotainment system is proposed in this paper. The aim of this design is to eliminate the head unit in the current systems and reduce the overall cost of the system considerably. Instead of a touch screen display or buttons to control the functionalities, an android smartphone is used which can control volume, bass, treble, fade and balance. The objectives of this system is to reduce cost, size and to provide comfort and luxury to the passengers.

Velocity and Orientation Detection of Dynamic Textures Using Integrated Algorithm.

Researchers have investigated different approaches to maintain the minimum cost and effort in regression testing. Here, test suite reduction is a common technique to decrease the cost of regression testing by removing the redundant test cases from the test suite and then, obtaining a representative set of test cases that still yield a high level of code coverage. Accordingly, here, the authors have developed two various techniques for test suite reduction. In the first technique, ATAP measure is newly developed to find the reduced test suite with the help of greedy search algorithm. In the second technique, DIV-TBAT (DIVersity-based BAT) algorithm is newly devised based on the mechanisms of Boolean logic within BAT algorithm which improve diversity during the search process. The proposed techniques are experimented using eight programs from SIR subject programs and the performance study is conducted using nine different evaluation metrics based on different research questions. The comparative analysis is performed with the existing algorithms like GreedyRatio, GreedyEIrreplaceability, diversity-based genetic algorithm, TBAT, and TAP, to prove the performance improvement over the eight software programs considered.

DIV-TBAT Algorithm for Test Suite Reduction in software testing

Floods are the natural disasters that cause catastrophic destruction and devastation of natural life, agriculture, property and infrastructure every year. Flooding is influenced by various hydrological & meteorological factors. A number of researches have been done in flood disaster management and food prediction systems. However, it has now become significant to shift from individual monitoring and prediction frameworks to smart flood prediction systems which include stakeholders and the flood affecting people equally with help of recent technological advancements. Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology that is a combination of embedded system hardware and wireless communication network which further transfers sensed data to computing device for analysis in real-Time. Researches in direction of flood prediction have shifted from mathematical models or hydrological models to algorithmic based approaches. Flood data is dynamic data and non-linear in nature. To predict floods, techniques such as artificial neural networks are used to devise prediction algorithms. Here an IoT based flood monitoring and artificial neural network (ANN) based flood prediction is designed with the aim of enhancing the scalability and reliability of flood management system. The main aim of this system is to monitor humidity, temperature, pressure, rainfall, river water level and to find their temporal correlative information for flood prediction analysis. The IoT approach is deployed for data collection from the sensors and communication over Wi-Fi and an ANN approach is used for analysis of data in flood prediction. © 2017 IEEE.

Smart flood disaster prediction system using IoT &amp; neural networks

Driving is a very taxing job as the visual, sensory and motor inputs work in harmony to make driving a successful experience. However, when the harmony is distorted, as in the cases when the driver is frustrated, anxious, the negative mindset can be dangerous as it can lead to potential accidents. Analyzing the emotions of the driver and striving to control them therefore becomes important. The work in this paper focuses on enhancing the current driving system of cars to help reduce the accident rate. It uses analysis of driver emotions via the data obtained from EEG (Electroencephalography) waves and the valence-Arousal models for emotion classification. Additionally, the control of emotions is obtained via the concept of music therapy. The proposed approach uses the music system in the car to automatically respond to changes in the emotional state of the driver. The emotion detection would be relatively real time thus efficiently soothing the driver. Moreover, the automatic adjustment of music in consonance with the mood would reduce the manual interfacing of the knobs in the car, thus saving distraction and reducing the chances of accidents. © 2018 IEEE.

Driving Control Using Emotion Analysis Via EEG

Over the years there has been a large upheaval in the social networking arena. Twitter being one of the most widely-used social networks in the world has always been a key target for intruders. Privacy concerns, stealing of important information and leakage of key credentials to spammers has been on the rise. In this paper, we have developed an Intelligent Twitter Spam Detection System which gives the precise details about spam profiles by identifying and detecting twitter spam. The system is a Hybrid approach as opposed to single-tier, single-classifier approaches which takes into account some unique feature sets before analyzing the tweets and also checks the links with Google Safe Browsing API for added security. Intelligent Twitter Spam Detection: A Hybrid Approach

Dental implants are nowadays commonly used as replacement for natural teeth when natural teeth get damaged due to injury, infection or old age. Despite high success rates of implantation, complications and failures of implants still occur. The aim of this study is to predict fatigue life of commercially available implant system using FEA and verification by analytical method. Implant is basically a mechanical screw made of titanium alloy Ti–6Al–4V with threads on its periphery. A three-dimensional finite element model (FE model) of implant prosthesis (implant, abutment, fitting screw and crown) is modeled using linear isotropic material properties for implant, abutment, cortical bone and cancellous bone using commercial software code. Occlusal load (vertical and lateral) on teeth is applied as static load on the crown to find the stresses around implant–bone interface. Analytical approach is used to predict fatigue life of implant. Good correlation is observed in analytical method and FEA results. The study is useful for better understanding of stress concentration location of implant systems. Guidelines for selecting the best implant can be suggested. © 2018, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
