Mobile users access location services from a location based server. While doing so, the user's privacy is at risk. The server has access to all details about the user. Example the recently visited places, the type of information he accesses. We have presented synergetic technique to safeguard location privacy of users accessing location-based services via mobile devices. Mobile devices have a capability to form ad-hoc networks to hide a user's identity and position. The user who requires the service is the query originator and who requests the service on behalf of query originator is the query sender. The query originator selects the query sender with equal probability which leads to anonymity in the network. The location revealed to the location service provider is a rectangle instead of exact co-ordinate. In this paper we have simulated the mobile network and shown the results for cloaking area sizes and performance against the variation in the density of users. © 2014 IEEE.

Synergetic cloaking technique in wireless network for location privacy

Genetic Algorithm is optimization method based on the mechanics of natural genetics and natural selection. Genetic Algorithm mimics the principle of natural genetics and natural selection to constitute search and optimization procedures.GA is used for scheduling to find the near to optimum solution in short time. In a genetic algorithm representation is done with variable length of sub-chromosome.GA is developed to generate the optimal order scheduling solution. GA is used as tool in different processes to optimize the process parameters. This paper reviews the genetic algorithms that are designed for solving multiple problems in applications of material science and manufacturing in field of mechanical engineering. Genetic algorithm is a multi-path algorithm that searches many peaks in parallel, hence reducing the possibility of local minimum trapping and solve the multi-objective optimization problems.

Genetic Algorithm and Its Applications to Mechanical Engineering: A Review

Wavelength conversion is one of the important process in wavelength routed networks. For improvement of network performance reduction in blocking probability, elimination of wavelength continuity constraints and proper placement of wavelength converters are very crucial factors. With the help of appropriate selection of routing and wavelength assignment technique and with right placement of wavelength converters, one can achieve better performance in these networks. In this paper, we propose scheme for dynamic routing and wavelength assignment with sparse partial uniform and sparse non-uniform wavelength conversion. The results show that call blocking probability is significantly reduced with use of very few converters. Number of wavelength converters required is only 2.4 percent in case of sparse non-uniform and 3 percent for sparse partial uniform as compare to that of full wavelength converters. © 2015 IEEE.

Placement of sparse partial uniform and non-uniform wavelength converters in wavelength routed networks

Human being uses multiple modes like speech, text, facial expression, hand gesture, showing picture etc. for communication in between them. The use of this ways for communication makes human communication more simple and fast. In previous years several techniques are used to bring the human computer interaction more closely. It costs more for development and maintenance of Multimodal grammar in integrating and understanding input in multimodal interfaces i.e. using multiple input ways. This leads to improve and investigate more robust algorithm. The proposed system generates the grammar from multiple inputs called as multimodal grammar and evaluates grammar description length. Furthermore, to optimize the multimodal grammar proposed system uses learning operators which improves grammar description.

Achieving scalability with load balancing is pre requisite in such Big Data environment. Various techniques have been developed in the field so far and are in process of development. In this paper we studied and evaluated various techniques for load balancing and scalability and presented the methodologies explored so far. There are various load balancing & Scalability techniques developed so far and research on the same is increasing significantly. This paper explores different techniques with snapshot on methodologies used, key parameters to be considered and limitations and future scope and development in the load balancing techniques with maintaining scalability in details. This paper reveal the research on the load balancing techniques, will surely be useful for future development.

A Survey for Dynamic Balancing of workload & Scalability in Cloud Environment

Incremental forming process has become more and more popular because of its ease of forming and capability to produce different part shapes using same machine set-up. This article describes an experimental study on the influence of process parameters in single point incremental forming (SPIF) on the surface roughness and thickness of formed part. Experiments are performed on aluminium alloy (Al-1050) sheet on a 3-axis CNC milling machine. Hemispherical-headed tool of stainless steel (SS-304) is used to study the effect of tool path, tool diameter and pitch on the surface roughness (R a ) and thickness (t) of formed part. Design of experiment (DOE) full factorial plan is used, and results are plotted using ANOVA. Considerable effect of tool diameter is found on the surface quality of formed part. © 2016, © 2016 Taylor & Francis.

An experimental study on the influence of tool path, tool diameter and pitch in single point incremental forming (SPIF)

The recent technology in digital cameras uses single CCD or CMOS sensors as a substitute to three separate RGB sensors. Color camera consists of single CCD or CMOS sensor with an overlaid Color Filter Array (CFA). This paper proposes a novel approach of CFA demosaicing. In proposed approach, bilinear interpolation with sharpening filter is used for CFA demosaicing. The proposed work tested on Virtex 5 FPGA in real time mode as well as on true color test image database. Xilinx System Generator (XSG) has been used for system modeling and design implemented on target device FPGA. The results of proposed FPGA based work improved than software based simple bilinear interpolation, edge directed interpolation and adaptive color plane interpolation methods and comparative to modified adaptive color plane interpolation method. The proposed approach has low computational complexity and high image processing speed; hence the design can be implemented in real time low cost embedded system applications. © 2015 IEEE.

Modified demosaicing scheme on FPGA using Xilinx System Generator

Online health communities continue to offer huge variety of medical information useful for medical practitioners, system administrators and patients alike. In this work we collect real time health posts from reputed websites, where patients express their views, including their experiences and side-effects on drugs used by them. We propose to perform Summarization of user posts per drug, and come out with useful conclusions for medical fraternity as well as patient community at a glance. Further, we propose to classify the users based on their 'emotional state of mind'. Also, we shall perform knowledge discovery from user posts, whereby useful 'patterns' about the triad 'drugs-symptoms-medicine' is done by Association Rule Mining. © 2015 IEEE.

Summarization and sentiment analysis from user health posts

Stereo Vision has created an impact on research in the area of computer vision system. It has many applications like 3D scene reconstruction, mobile robotics to detect obstacles, surgical robotics, etc. This paper focuses on various region based algorithms for stereo vision. They are used for generating disparity map. This disparity map is used to find out the distance of the objects in the images from camera. The researchers have implemented these algorithms and their results are compared on the basis of window size and time complexity. © 2014 IEEE.
