In today's era of communication, sharing of information is unavoidable. Analysis of security and reliability while communicating is essential. Information may get altered, copied and copyright can be infringed. Previously, digital watermarking and different encryption techniques like AES, DES, HASH and MAC were used as a primary security technique for information hiding. But, in all these methods, there are some vulnerabilities, because of which information may be hacked or changed while transmission. In addition to the security of the information, there should also be an error-free transmission of data. This review paper discusses various image encryption techniques which are using joint error correction and encryption methods. Based on the literature review, a novel method for joint encryption and encoding is suggested. Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) code, a highly recommended technique in 5G, is used for reliability. Chaotic sequence based on a logistic map is used for security. Proposed technique also uses the S-Box of AES algorithm for enhancing the security obtained by combining LDPC and Chaotic sequence. This paper aims to provide a general overview of image encryption techniques. Based on the study, a new system for joint encryption and encoding using LDPC, Chaotic map and AES S-Box is suggested. © 2021 IEEE.

Review of Joint Encoding and Encryption for Image Transmission using Chaotic Map, LDPC and AES Encryption

Accidents due to the hazy vision in adverse atmospheric conditions is not an issue limited to a region.It is observed worldwide that even after developing the road safety knowledge the accidents in hazy atmosphereare not reduced. These are due to some constraints like blurred vision in hazy conditions in which human eyescannot detect vehicles or other objects coming in front of vehicle. To overcome this issue there should be someinterface between the driver and the objects coming in front of vehicle. The issue occurs while driving in hazyenvironment and can be avoided by providing an interface which will store the video in form of frames at aspeed specified by the camera module used on the front panel of the vehicle. The video stored in format offrames will be processed through the Raspberry Pi which is a series of small single board computer. There willbe a provision for the driver to turn on the system whenever it is necessary by pressing a button and then therewill be a TFT display provided inside the vehicle to visualize the objects coming in front of the vehicle inadvance to the driver

Image Processing for Hazy Weather Conditions

In India, the concept of smart city has evolved since lastfew years. Smart city includes smart electricity distributions,smart parking, smart lighting on streets, smart water distribution,smart drainage system, smart pipe gas system, smart trafficcontrol system etc. All smart systems listed need smart use oftechnical solution so that all systems will play critical role inmaking city as smart. As far as smart traffic control is concerned,there were few solutions suggested and implanted such as sensorwith CCTV, camera with IR sensor and tags etc. The technicalsolution may include software, hardware, communicationmodels, networking, usage of data and of-course data analytics.As large amount of data may be generated by theobjects/components involved in the system, it must be analyzedproperly. The data may be in structured or un-structured format.In this paper, smart traffic control system with efficient algorithmhas been proposed with data analytics to control traffic, whichcontrols the timing of the signal dynamically. At a junction, thereis need to control the traffic and signal timing such that air andnoise pollution also will be monitored and controlled. In thismodel, IoT system has been proposed with ultrasonic sensors tocontrol the traffic. The signal timing will be dynamicallymonitored and adjusted with traffic density within a region. Proposed Algorithm for Smart Traffic Control using Ultrasonic Sensors

Determining moisture content correctly in different materials or grains is the need of various industries today. Various techniques are suggested in the literature for sensing moisture contents of different materials. Horn antenna and microstrip antenna are the most commonly used antennas for finding moisture content, because of the noncontact type of measurement of moisture present in the sample. The microwave measuring technique offers a very exact and reliable measurement of the concentration of moisture. In the proposed system microstrip patch antenna at 900 MHz resonant frequency is designed and different materials like sodium carbonate, borax, potassium chloride, and lactose are tested for moisture content. For the fixed quantity of the sample, water content is gradually increased and return loss is measured. It is observed that with the increase in moisture content, return loss decreases. © 2019 IEEE.

Design of a Microstrip Patch Antenna as a Moisture Sensor

With increasing emphasis on renewable sources of energy, wind energy has turned into a major form of energy. Wind turbines are used worldwide to harness the wind energy. Conventional wind turbines have limitations due to their rigid structures. Morphing can be used as a technique to improve the performance of the wind turbine. The paper involves the aerodynamic analysis of the morphing wind turbine blade. Morphing enables the turbine blades to adapt with varying wind velocity. Here we are considering only the effects of morphed trailing edge of the wind turbine blade. The aerodynamic efficiency and the power output vary for various morphing angles of the turbine blade.

Aerodynamic Analysis of Morphing Blade for Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine

Compression, encryption, encoding and modulation at the transmitter side and reverse process at the receiver side are the major processes in any wireless communication system. All these steps were carried out separately before. But, in 1978 R. J. McEliece had proposed the concept of combining security and channel encoding techniques together. Many schemes are proposed by different researchers for this combine approach. Sharing the information securely, but at the same time maintaining acceptable bit error rate in such combine system is difficult. In this paper, a new technique for robust and secure wireless transmission of image combining Turbo Product Code (TPC) with chaotic encryption is proposed. Logistic map is used for chaotic encryption and TPC for channel encoding. Simulation results for this combined system are analyzed and it shows that TPC and chaotic combination gives secure transmission with acceptable data rate.

Performance of Turbo Product Code in Wimax

Any communication system will be having an encryption, error correcting block and decryption, decoding block at the transmitter and receiver side respectively. But, combining encryption and encoding, is what is the focus in research now a days. Multimedia wireless applications are very popular, mainly due to high data rates. Majority of encrypted transmission schemes do not consider well the effect of bit errors occurred during transmission and are considered a problem that can be handled by an efficient coding scheme and a proper encryption technique. In this paper turbo product code (TPC) and advanced encryption standard (AES), is combined together for getting better bit error rate (BER). TPC used for encoding is an effective technique with reasonable decoding complexity. Original information is encoded, encrypted and sent over an AWGN channel using BPSK modulation. Promising results are obtained for BER with less complexity. So, a wireless data transmission scheme that combines encryption and encoding technique into one processing step can be used for various applications. {\textcopyright} 2013 IEEE.
